US Defence related thread

A message to cool the markets IMO, but it seems Qalibaf came to the negotiation table. Biggest issue is we don’t seem to know who is running things. Mojtaba is injured, isolated, and not receiving any messages.

With that said, I’d pay less attention to what Trump has to say and focus on US military movements.

An the Iranians came to us. Obviously US terms will be much stricter this go around as it holds most of the leverage here.

Terms will likely look something like this:
- Enriched uranium handed over
- nuclear program completely halted.
- cap on number missiles it can possess
- support for terrorist proxies ended

Strict enforcement for the above

Otherwise the US/IDF will just continue bombing, killing Iranian leaders etc until the Iranians are completely exhausted. The Iranians have already fired 1,300+ ballistic missiles with likely hundreds destroyed. They’ll eventually reach the point where drones are their only option.

Missile cap demand will never be met.

Iran is in no position to be making any demands whatsoever. Half its leaders are dead, the other half in deep hiding. Its military and production facilities are destroyed. They’re now rationing what weapons they do have left. Meanwhile, shaping operations continue on the coast with 2 MEUs en route and signs of the 82nd and 101st Airborne on the move.

It is not over until it is over. It is premature to be claiming victory for either side.

From a tactical and operational standpoint, the US has won, decisively so. We’re still waiting to see what the political outcomes will be, but it’s clear the US position is more hardened now with the greater leverage.

From a pure military perspective though, it’s a better performance than even Desert Storm and I couldn’t be prouder of them.

Politically, while regime change would be nice, President Trump made it clear that was ultimately up to Iranians. It’s clear he had no interest in deploying 200K troops to Iran or spend another decade in nation building. We seem fine with taking the Venezuela route where an acceptable leader emerges on US terms.

It's over , no ifs and buts.

We shall soon know the outcome. But until that is known, I will still caution that any declarations of victory are premature at this point.

It's not declaration of victory on my part , it's acceptance that reality is a bitch .

Fair enough. USA does appear to have a stronger negotiating position currently, but that is about all one can say at the moment. Iran's main geopolitical failure must be its isolation, and that alone makes its situation precarious to maintain long term.

The Iranians have to come to terms with the fact that we’re not going back to a world where they enrich uranium to weapons grade material, produce unlimited missiles, and give billions of dollars to its terrorist proxies. The days of “death to Israel and America” are over. If they can’t accept that, i expect the IDF will be more than happy to kill any Iranian leader it needs until an Iranian leader comes to his senses.

The IRGC demanding it will never be attacked again, reparations, and the US leaving all Gulf bases is total delusion. That will never happen.

Those demands are face saving yada yada... nothing more.

Are they? We may have made them even more radical.

Had the US/Israel done nothing we were heading to a 2030 world with Iran armed with nuclear weapons shielded by 10,000+ ballistic missiles. If they're more radicalized now, they no longer have the military capability to back it up.

A breaking point is coming for their regime as their only legitimacy now is through the fear it inflicts on its civilians.
