Apart from articles by quawa and other random pages , i haven't seen any concrete proof of PN buying the Land battery of the CAMM or IRIS-T , its an expensive and one of the top of the line systems . Tho the news about it being on our future combatants hold value.

It would have been properly inducted like the previous MRSAMs , so introducing them in the parade seems unique
HQ-16FEs are not MR SAMs considering they have a 160KM range, the only thing they share with the original HQ-16 might be the name.

A Necessity how? A type 52D would cost as much 3 SWATS probably more and those coastal submarines can keep an entire IN battle group at bay, a single destroyer isn't.
I agree any large ships will be a beacon for IN to launch everything at it, its same for their AC for us. I think Pakistan Navy is better off with a decent size surface fleet but much stronger Submarine fleet, in fact I will say all our Submarines should be able to carry and launch Babur CM's, which gives us stealthy and much better approach towards hitting India Eastern Coast.
