This will have global impact as an economic war. In that way it is very destructive for almost everybody. But I would discount any 'religious' war aspect to it. Iran is attacking all Arab states, apparently more severely that even Israel. what is 'religious' about it? Inter Muslim wars are not uncommon even in modern times. Iran-Iraq war, Iraq- Kuwait war, Pakistan-Afghan war just in the neighborhood. Many more in Africa.
