That portrays the big problem with supersonic missiles flying low.
The atmosphere behaves like gel , and the energy required to make course corrections is too much . Likewise the time widows to make such corrections is too narrow as the missile will miss the target due to the speed .
Thats why Pakistani soft kill or jamming approach worked very well . They were just inducing errors in the missiles navigation system, which the guidance computer had to pick, up calculate and make course corrections, paying time and fuel penalty.
These issues don't happen with subsonic missiles.
