Indian Air Force News and Discussions ll

Yup ! It hurts but it is true !😢
Pages after pages of trolling and cope replies on the engine unavailability. What is the real reason for this quagmire? Is Trump really blocking them, or is GE playing cute?

It's more than time to think about alternatives. Even at the cost of minor structural tweaks. Otherwise better to steamroll this program and concentrate on AMCA (without American engine, I.e.) and possible partnership in one of the viable 6th gen programmes.

At this rate, Tejas (any make) will be obsolete by the time a reasonable numbers of squadrons can be inducted. In fact we should concentrate on 5th/ 6th naval platforms too while I'm at it, and stop the ongoing naval program.

Don't know ! And Franky don't care any more.

Its not funny anymore since 2021.
Oh, relax. Its all in good fun.

The Tejas' reputation even in Infia seems to be floundering.

I seriously don't understand why India doesn't just cut its losses at this point, and concentrate its efforts on its next gen program.

@Ak01 @That_Guy i wanted to ask why did they have a delta wing ( or such a big wing )
on tejas what benefit does it have
like high take off weight , more fuel storage

IAF can still switch to M88 or EJ200 engines for MK1a by taking a hit of 3 years at the end they will have a 4+ gen fighter that can be delivered by 2030. not like this circus

Bit disappointed with the timeline of ~8 years for induction but then it is supposed to be a loyal wingman/collaborative combat aircraft under man-unmanned teaming not a standalone system.

France Refuses Rafale Source Codes to India, Triggering Major Blow to New Delhi’s Airpower Independence Strategy
Paris has reportedly denied India access to the Rafale fighter’s core source codes, preventing New Delhi from independently modifying the Thales RBE2 AESA radar, MDPU mission computer and SPECTRA electronic warfare suite.
