️According to Iran’s Mehr News Agency, an Iranian projectile struck a US helicopter during search and rescue efforts for the downed fighter jet pilot(s).

Iran has done very well with drone shoot downs

they claim 154 drones downed but I think confirmed visual wreckage is around as follows

13 x US drones mainly MQ-9 Reaper
31 x israeli Hermes 900/450 and Heron/Heron TP and Orbiter
12 x others

around 55-60 drones confirmed

and more recently they have increased the shoot downs

Iranian AD systems for slow, and low to medium altitude systems seems to be working very well it seems. Fast jets pose a problem for Irans AD network given that so far only two platforms have been hit, a F15(shot down) and F-35 ( hit(write off??), but recovered to home based ). I am not sure what to make of the F16CJ yet.

Per news sources 1 of the pilots have been rescued

Still unverified though ... the journalist climing it in his tweet, Amit Segal is from News 12 of israel. However, I checked News 12 website and they themselves are still reporting 2 Pilots missing.

This was about 30 mins after Amit Segal made the claim of pilot's rescue. If it was conformed then at least his parent channel would have updated it.

Any rescue is not being reported on any other Western media either. Only this one tweet form one person that does not seem to be backed up by his channel. His only cited source is "Western Media" and there is nothing about any rescue on any Western Media.

WoW. That is good. This shows the extreme danger of flying inside Iranian airspace even in remote and non well defended areas. Can anyone imagine which would be the casualties if they try an air assault over Isfahan or even islands?. CSAR helicopters are much better prepared than utilitary helicopters that would not have DIRCM and the same armor than those.

they have done drones and fighters next I want to see bombers

best system would be the Bavar 373 taking out the B52 bombers

and they have a very good chance to do it using the ambush air defence strategy

but for that they would need real time tracking of the B52 bomber formation along with escorts

Chinese could supply that data as they fly from UK air base using predictable flight paths I am sure Chinese have a system AI picture built of the air war with all the information they need from refuelling times to exit and entry times

a B52 downing would be the icing on the cake
