They don't have the longest range and I highly doubt they can do aerial refueling...must be something on the ground for them to be unloaded from and to be refueled at....

Hamas sort of wants Israel stuck in Lebanon to buy time for itself considering mediators are currently informing Hamas that Israel will resume a ground occupation of entire Gaza Strip if Hamas doesn't disarm.

This is why Israel won't invade deeper in Lebanon and limited the ground operation in scale.

I'm also of opinion Israel is pushing Trump to target Iranian vital infrastructure so it can in return target GCC infrastructure and then both entities will be stuck in a humatarian catastrophe leaving Israel free to act in Gaza.

But I don't think this will work how Israel wants to it to work and is a very risky gamble by Israel.

Makes me wonder why Jewish-American community won't restrain the radical extremist government of Israel which is trying to facilitate their version of end times -- it makes them look complicit. Despite proclaiming to be a secular population and agnostic/atheist people, they're fully cooperating with Netanyahu to bring about Jewish version of end times

The current geopolitical situation is the direct result from the misguided Iranian approach of restraint and 'strategic' patience.

The Israelis are firmly convinced that they exclusively manage the escalation process and the ongoing conflict, toggling the war on and off like a machine at their discretion, a belief unfortunately fostered by the Iranian leadership due to their hesitance over the years.

No matter the cost, if they want future generations of Iranians to live in peace, now is the time to make an example.

I fear you may be right. The war of survival fought long ago by Turks (War of Independence) was the same simple dichotomy: backs to the wall, victory or eternal subjugation as a client state.
