that "deal" is total capitulation.
Iran cannot build a bomb. They should have tested one like 30 years ago. Now? It will never be allowed to have one. It what it is.

Japan was already quite advanced before World War II. Large parts of mathematics, physics and chemistry in the 19th century were developed by the Japanese and the Germans. Germany was single-handedly defeating all European powers before the US and the Soviet Union got involved. Iran is nowhere close to those two countries in WWII.You’re missing the point. “Another punch” doesn’t always mean military revenge. Japan and Germany are actually perfect examples of why survival matters more than destruction. Both were completely defeated, yet today they are amng the world’s largest economies, technologically advanced, and globally influential. They didn’t need to fire another shot at the US to regain power and dignity.
I don't disagree with any of this, but for this to happen, the Islamic Republic must end. The deal you guys are talking about is not about that. It's completely different. It is about delaying the inevitable, while giving the Americans more time to prepare for the inevitable.Power is not just military. It is economic strength, technological capability, global influence, and internal stability. By staying alive and rebuilding, they positioned themselves as major players again. If they had chosen total destruction over survival, they would not exist in any meaningful way today.
The point is simple: if a state destroys itself in the name of resistance, it loses every future option. Survival preserves leverage. Dead states don’t resist, rebuild, or influence anything.
An Indian on twitter is your source?
That 'rule' you mentioned may have may have played out, it's not the rule you are making it out to be.
Honestly, if Iran loses this war, my only consolation will be that we will turn anti-Russia and anti-China and will act 100% against their interests in every situation by being the best US lapdog ever.
You can see how China and Russia have been dead silent about Trump's genocidal threats in the last 3 days.
Issue a statement condemning his genocidal threats, at least? What do you expect from them ? Declare war on US ?.,... drink cold water and chill
i think u need to be in proximity with china to get full benefit there are only 2 actual allies of china 1. Pakistan 2. North KoreaRussia doesn't have capability, neither the will.
China has the capability but not the will.
Did Iran have a deep and trusted allied relationship ever with China? I don't think so. Iran never looked for allies, Iran only engaged in transactions.
This is one of the F ups of IRI leadership in addition to not building the nukes.
Damn I thought it was the railway tracks. Yes, the bridges are a serious problem if that's the case, that's not good. This guy has truly gone mad and doesn't know what he's getting us all into, someone needs to take another attempt on him. They are hitting railway bridges too. And they are doing that to stop large troop movements in Iran. It's a prelude to a ground invasion.
Iraq, Syria, Venezuela, Cuba, Sudan, Vietnam; do I need to say more? Give me a break.Russia doesn't have capability, neither the will.

I am lost , don't know how to answer your post ! I have empathy and anger running parallel.Issue a statement condemning his genocidal threats, at least?
They cannot even issue a diplomatic statement now?
As I said, I would happily live in a US puppet state if it means our resources will be employed to hurt China and Russia. Russia doesn't even deserve to exist as a unified country.
I think best time for Iranian nukes was between 2001 to 2010. America was pretty busy with Afghanistan/Iraq and Arabs were having time of their lives with Arab Spring, Iran may have got some trouble or maybe few strikes but with nukes secure they would not have seen this day.Iran cannot build a bomb. They should have tested one like 30 years ago. Now? It will never be allowed to have one. It what it is.
I agree. So why you keep the oil and eggs for making a omelette when you won't do It.There is a big difference between a nuclear weapon and a nuclear weapons capability!
Fully agree. This is perhaps the only reasonable tactic they can achieve in such asymmetry. The ability to strike enemy "muster points" in the Gulf nations or in the adjacent waters is absolutely crucial. My speculation here is that Iran has prepared for a ground invasion owing to its geography instead of venturing out in the open and get picked much easily. Which also explains a deeper and resilient defensive setup.
Though they'll have to go on the offensive in the region to disable/dissuade any perch available to mount an attack against Iran.
The only thing I can think of in this case is ...
"A general can refuse the order since it's an incursion not declared war... And any further action such as USA of nukes account towards escalation ladder requires approval of Congress because that would come in declaration of WAR"..
It's not disobedience but standing up for constitution.
