I just think it would have been wise for Pakistan not to sign such defence pact , as nobody is permanent foe or friend in geopolitics.

I have been uncomfortable since Pakistan agreed into that agreement with Saudi Arabia last year: The Middle East is a powder keg and any country can be involved in conflict any time. Even Israel is not some Treaty ally of the West as far as I know.
Lucky are those countries who are far from the Middle East! Unfortunately, Pakistan is close enough.

Well who would have thought with in 6 months of Pakistan signing the defense pact with Saudis.

Pakistanis would be called upon to honor it. Not in the least Pakistani generals who signed the agreement, who thought of it as easy cash cow to milk the Arabs.

Frankly, IMO that defense pact is not worth the paper it is written up on.

And what proof is there Saudi Arabia have requested anything.

Total destruction of Saudi energy facilities and desalinations is needed. Oil should be 175-250 usd a barrel, this way future Iran oil exports can make up for rebuilding the country. There must be a total closure of Bab-Al-Mandeb.

Of course it is posturing. Pakistan has to appear to 'support' the Saudis without doing any 'offensive' against Iran. I foresee at most protection of Saudi facilities from Iranian missiles. Also, it is to be noted, when UAE took back its billions from Pakistan just recently, Saudi Arabia has stepped up to try to support Pakistan's dwindled foreign exchange reserves.
Anyway, Litmus Test for Iran's anger toward Pakistan will be any hostile statements/actions against Pakistan, which is unlikely.

Yeah , it is highly unlikely pakistan would do any offensive step against iran in support of saudi .
Only defensive action are being taken till now by pakistan in support of saudi .

Hezbollah and Iran will need an effective strike package against Israel tonight

More so Iran because it will come under Israeli attack targeting it's vital infrastructure

If Iran can't hit an Israeli bridge or power plant tonight then that is not a good sign

Remember we been here before. In the 8 year old war against Iraq and Saddam. Saddam was supported by both GCC and the great America and still could not beat Iran

Yes, Gaza is a 40KM X 15KM enclave of 2 Million people and they could not even control that, after 4 years of bombings that are equal to 4 Tactical nukes combined.

And people are screaming doom and gloom that somehow Iran will fall in a single day. If Social media had been invented a thousand years ago, half of the won battles would have been lost coz of people going around pulling their hair and screaming before every war.

Iran should make Bahrain inhabitable. They deserve to be obliterated more than any other country around us.

Iran will not carry out collective punishment in Bahrain. The Majority are pro Iranian Shias who are under the boot of a Sunni minority Dictatorship.
