Trump needs to get on a call to Israel and tell them to stop violating the ceasefire in Lebanon and stop the bombing now, otherwise it could start up again.

The primary objectives of this operation are in my last post. Cost of inaction would have seen a 2030 nuclear armed Iran with over 10,000 ballistic missiles shielding it.

From a tactical and operational standpoint, it’s been a decisive victory for the US. We don’t know what the final political outcomes will be as nothing has been agreed to.

Its a shame that they don't have to jettison them when returning for landing ... just saying..

As with all things during this war, you will find the above claims of success, quite off the mark. Look at what they said about how many launchers and missiles they claimed to have "destroyed" versus reality.

Gen Caine has never made any remarks on how many launchers they’ve hit, just that Iranian ballistic missile fire was down 90% from the opening days of the war.

For those who don’t know Iran’s 10 Points Plan.

Iran’s Supreme National Security Council said Wednesday that the two-week ceasefire with the United States does not signal an end to the war, pending negotiations over the details of its 10-point plan. Israel already broke number 10.

According to Iran’s semi-official Mehr News Agency, the 10 points are as follows:

1. U.S. commitment to ensure no further acts of aggression;

2. Continued Iranian control of the Strait of Hormuz;

3. Acceptance of Iran’s nuclear enrichment rights;

4. Lifting of all primary sanctions;

5. Lifting of all secondary sanctions;

6. Termination of all United Nations Security Council resolutions against Iran;

7. Termination of all International Atomic Energy Agency Board of Governors resolutions against Iran;

8. Payment of damages to Iran for loss in the war;

9. Withdrawal of U.S. combat forces from the region;

10. Cessation of hostilities on all fronts, including Lebanon.

What Trump did was to show the world how it's viable to ignore international law and norms; it also shows Iran how they can get what they want as long as Trump is in power. I don't think that from now on, short of a full invasion of Iran, there would be any way we can stop Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons because Trump has shown Iran that taking Hormuz hostage and threatening the world works, and we are too dumb to have made any alternative since the 1970s.

As far as I'm concerned it's simply a continuation of appeasement. And that goes back before even the Obama administration.
