They will resume the war if Iran doesn't accept their terms of surrender, handed to us in Islamabad.

I think you have to trust the Iranian leadership they just went through a war many died and im sure there is anger yet they decided to pursue peace. This was Irans decision not Pakistans, sure pressure was applied but they could have said no, I was expecting a no but glad we have a chance to pause reassess. 2 weeks is not allot of time to make a big difference on the battlefield given what Iran endured but diplomatically may help come to reasonable agreement.

Is not it poetic the fact Pakistan with The AQ Khan network gave Iran nuclear blueprints 20 years ago. Iran snitched on Pakistan to the Americans. That’s partly why Iran got sanctioned and Pakistan kept its bomb.

20 years later Pakistan is now the mediator between the US and Iran.The country that was snitched on is now fixing the situation for the country that snitched. And walking out as the winner.

Pakistan ends this with its nuclear program intact and a new status as a geopolitical mediator.

The most strategic move the GCC can make right now is follow Saudi Arabia’s lead, sign defense pacts with Pakistan, invest in its economy, and formalize what’s already obvious: Pakistan has the manpower and the bomb.

The Pakistani diaspora in the Gulf makes this economically seamless.

As a human, I am grateful that no more lives will be lost (if further negotiations bear fruit inshallah). As a Pakistani, I am immensely proud of the role my country's (Pakistan) leadership has played (our internal politics and considerations be DAMNED!) and full marks go to them for having orchestrated this. First of all, such negotiations must be agreed upon by both the United States and Iran. China, Pakistan, and other countries have no power to force Iran to compromise.

Secondly, the end of any war is accompanied by the signing of a ceasefire agreement. This is simply to provide an opportunity for a peaceful resolution of the war.

Most importantly, you are in the United States—can you feel the suffering of the Iranian people? Many Iranians in China choose to return to Iran to defend their country; may I ask, have you gone back?
