The United States is not planning to leave NATO. This is merely Trump attempting to intimidate the Europeans into supporting his pathetic war against Iran. Even if such a scenario were to occur, it would only increase the Europeans' reliance on Ankara. No US assistance, facing the Russians, and than alienating Turkey?
Nightmare for the EU.

The ceasefire did cover Lebanon, and these people should asking both the USA and Israel to "honour" the terms of the ceasefire that was agreed to.

I don't think so at all. No one is going to touch this war of choice, esp after the Greenland theatrics (which are still in play btw ). Lets see what happens.

NATO will not do anything without legal cover, and the UN vote recently was vetoed that "could" have given NATO legal cover to "try" and open the straits.

No. If Trump accepts these ten peace terms, it would be an acknowledgment of defeat. That cannot deceive the Republican voter base. We must not forget that the Republicans have to face the midterm elections.

Let's look at the domestic propaganda in the United States.

On April 8 local time, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt dismissed media claims that U.S. President Trump had agreed to the ten ceasefire terms proposed by Iran.

At a press conference that day, Leavitt stated that the ten ceasefire terms published by Iran were completely different from the version ultimately agreed upon by Trump and his team. She clarified, 'The ten ceasefire terms initially proposed by Iran were completely unreliable and have been thoroughly rejected. President Trump and his negotiating team literally threw them into the trash.'


On April 8 local time, according to The New York Times, U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Dan Kane stated that the U.S. military would continue to be stationed in the Middle East, 'and if ordered or called upon, we will resume combat operations with the same speed and precision demonstrated over the past 38 days.'

The report pointed out that President Trump knows that even if the U.S. and Iran fail to resolve issues after the two-week ceasefire expires, 'the political risk of restarting hostilities remains very high.'
