Pakistan-Saudi Arabia mutual defense pact: News & Discussion

How much Pakistan charging for this deployment ? We have US figures for comparison.

And those very people who have the power to change the system are biggest beneficiary of the current system. So why would they willingly try to change it. Rest 99% can't do jack without tearing down the whole system itself but they don't know and fear what then would be the outcome in that situation. But this system don't think will ever self correct , will just try to drag and suck the last blood from those 99% as long as it can.
very true, cant agree more

Hate has good reasons
However, it doesn’t need to be toddler level tantrums as certain expat member and older supporters of wronged political parties tend to do - and those people will find themselves restricted to Stupid & Funny section very quickly

This is the type of BS we should be telling the Gulf not to do if they want security.

Peanuts again, considering how Pakistan is going far for them
There is another problem with the way the relationship works with Pakistan.
And this goes well beyond state to state dealings but how Arabs in general speak to Pakistanis due to the "training" over the decades of interactions each Peoples have had with the other.

The Arabs will promise 100% but only aim to deliver 20% while expecting 100% of the Pakistanis... this has to do with the decades of how Pakistanis have overpromised and underdelivered while making emotional claims. On the other hand the Pakistanis have now come to saying they will do a 100% and promise another 50% through emotional statements but will deliver 60% when they realize eventually they wont be paid the same.

This isnt anyone's "fault" - just the toxic part of the relationship that settled in over the years.

I think a lot of effort has to be done on our end to establish and market credibility in the areas we can deliver on, be it 100% or 200%.

That area is, undoubtedly, security. Therefore, we need to attach a very high rate or premium to the security we are asked to provide to these countries, and operate on that basis.

Now, if we lack confidence on our end due to being a breadbasket (fair), then we need to attach conditions that would improve our economic stature (e.g., re-routing India's oil/gas from the Gulf to Pakistan before it goes to India, maybe have all the refining work done in Pakistan, for example).
