PAF J-10CE News Updates and Discussions part ll

Here's something out of the ordinary: the real early prototype of the J-10 fighter. The J-10 actually had its air intake redesigned over engine issues. To fit the AL-31 turbofan engine, it was modified into the very intake design we all know on the mass-produced J-10 and J-10A. Had the WS-10 Taihang engine been available earlier, this is exactly what the J-10 would have looked likeView attachment 193248

That was not the real prototype but the painted full-scale metal mock-up as far as I know, but surely @Michael knows more.

Hobby master releasing this beauty in September…….

F-16 saga is over. USA has not lifted the arms embargo since 2016. That's 10 years already.
My friend, there is news reporting that the United States has approved a $686 million arms sale plan aimed at upgrading Pakistan's F-16 fighter jets.

Is this event included within the arms embargo framework?

There's no arms embargo, Pakistan simply doesn't want to spend hard cash on US systems that could later be sanctioned.
I want to confirm something.

Did the F-16 participate in the war when India invaded Pakistan?

I saw some news saying that the United States prohibited Pakistan from using the F-16.

Rumours at best.
Biden administration approved 450mUSD sustainment of the fleet and Trump administration approved 650mUSD for sustainment of the AIM-120C5 missiles.

AFAIK, this is mainly an upgrade of the PAF F-16s Link-16 TDL protocol to a newer version, and maybe also the reconfigurations required for certain hardpoints to carry a newer version of missiles.

will we ever go beyond 20?

I think the 16 extra units will be bought this year or the next but it seems overall priority is inducting j-35s within next 5 years. Imo PAF is still not commiting to more fighters rn and focusing on inducting more sams and delaying retirement of mirages till 2030+
