The supplies became expensive and usually the first thing to get cut is the quality of the food stuffs. Had Pakistan permanently closed the route, the war would have become more expensive and the NATO supplies would be going through Russian influenced lands.I think after Salalah attack, supply route from Pakistan to Afghanistan were closed for almost a year if I’m not mistaken

The American people hated the Vietnam war because of the draft. They will hate the war against Iran once oil hits $12 and the workers start burning down warehouses. At least in case of the Vietnam War, there was the staged Gulf of Tonkien. And in many other wars--wars on communism and wars on terror--there were attempts to rally the American support and even try to get some support in the UN.
But this war on Iran is launched without hardly making a 'case' for it. No 'manufacturing consent' this time. And that shows how dangerous and arrogant Donald Trump is. He is acting like Netanyahu acts in Gaza, in the West Bank, and in Lebanon, and now also Netanyahu acts like that in Syria.
I am worried about you white imperialistic bastards and what you have been doing in this region for decades.uh-huh..and you aren't worried about Iran's nuclear program...with those semi-independent entities" lurking about...able to fire missiles at Pakistan.
NGL - you sound ret*rded. Are you indian? You forgot to read the post i responded to.
Let me put it straight for you:
Taliban were harboured in Pakistan giving them much needed breathing space to survive.
Now since Iran is under naval blockade, opening land trade routes gives them breathing space and that's a ridiculous thing to do.
It's like my neighbor fired bullets on me, although I responded in kind, but if he gets in deadlock somewhere else - i would be stupid to support him out.

that's one view of imperialism, slavery, theft of native resources.Usually making the world go ‘round instead of standing still for centuries.
Pakistan asserted itself? By doing what exactly? Closing the land border for a mere month or so? Pakistan didn't even close its airspace to NATO, never mind responding militarily. Pakistan had nukes then but yet that didn't stop the yanks from humiliating Pakistan publicly and that wasn't a one off incident, OBL raid, drone strikes etc to name other few. Another point most Pakistanis forget is that whilst we do have nukes, we currently have NO reliable system to deliver these outside our own region.Salalah attack was a pressure check tactic and a humiliation ritual, which is at the core of the ideology plaguing this planet currently, to see if Pakistan would play dead or assert, Pakistan asserted itself and did not play dead. Otherwise the theater of operations would have expanded far deeper into Pakistan.
You can have the most advanced types of weapons but if your soldiers do not have food to eat after three days, life becomes something else.
Saddam didn't have hundreds and hundreds or possibly 1000 nukes with reliable delivery mechanisms with various city ending capacities as well as stockpiles of chemical and biologal weapons to end life. If things come to that, the population of this planet would be reduced by at least 1.25 Billion on the eastern side of Pakistan and by about 40 to 100 million looking westward. Europe's atmosphere would also change permanently and many capitals of the world will disappear from reality. So that outcome is not desired by many, despite their mythological beliefs in some messiah who can be forced to reveal himself, they will not risk such a suicidal mission.
North Korea has just a few, 12 to 35, nukes, and everyone had decided to leave them alone. NK will eventually become a Vietnam because they have no political instability.
Usually making the world go ‘round instead of standing still for centuries.
Cutting off the supply lines to a Super Power on a religious mission backed up by the next 30 countries is no small task.Pakistan asserted itself? By doing what exactly? Pakistan's military 'might' is nothing against US, Nato etc. I'd say no country can currently take on US with or without nukes, not even China.
