Train's of india !

The engineering task took hundreds of thousands of lives which were on most parts not bothered to be documented. Unfortunately no attempts have been made to highlight the human toll extracted for such colonial projects. Documentation of human suffering is trivialised as a side note in memoirs of colonial officers like J. Patterson.

Yes Chinese trains use a different gauge to the "British Indian" legacy gauge. There was some talk of Chinese carriages that could mechanically adjust to suit different gauges. Not sure if they are implemented in Sino-Pak trains yet though.
The same problem is also encountered on the China-Europe Railway Express.

We and our partner countries have to unload the goods at the entrance of each country and change trains.

However, now there is a type of train with a device installed on the bottom that can adapt to different tracks. The train and the device can form an integrated whole.

Similar devices are also used in the military. For example, Serbia uses the MiG-29 to carry CM-400AKG supersonic air-to-surface missiles. This kind of device does not require adjustments to the aircraft's fire control or avionics systems. The missile and the pylon can form an integrated whole.

Train journey through western Ghats during monsoon is the most scerenic experience
Train network are spreading into North East india. The route and scenery is amazing..
