Iran had been delivered 79 f 14 by 79 with one waiting delivery in the u.s.

By 83 iran was down to 13-16 operational ac.by 2000 it was down to 5-6 operational ac.right now it has 16 odd operational ac.
They have maintained that fleet through canabslization of other f 14 air frames.
It's still a miracle that they kept them flying for so long. We're talking half a fucking century.

If China cuts supply of parts I don't think those WS-10 engines will last very long.

One of our f 16 was structurally damaged some years back n was written of by LM.....PAC brought it back to life in house n had it certified by LM n its still flying.
So going by ur def. Of manufacturing now PAC is manufacturing the structure/frame of the f 16 ?
Depends, can you increase the service life of the plane? We can basically keep them flying indefinitely.

it seems you haven't heard of F16 Özgür project. I'd do some googling if I were you.
F 16 Ozgur project will be better than J 10 C ?..... lolx Just agree that fighter aircraft and technology wise turkey is in a tight spot right now , with no modern aesa fighter jets .....

China isn't America

debatable. We can talk about it when the project is finished and the planes are operational but ASELSAN's Murad radar already looks better than APG-83
I am talking about J10 vs Ozgur...... and we will see how better it is when it comes out .....

never said it was, once again you're countering arguments never made.

I suggest you see a psychiatrist. You might be dyslexic.

I think @Reichmarshal got my point.

Well, its interesting that you get provoked so quickly. Your initial response was to same comment referring to financial constraints & sanctions. Now you started showing your innerself and said that I might be dyslexic and that I should see a psychiatrist. First of all if someone is dyslexic, then what psychiatrist has to do with it?
You learned a name of the condition and somehow trying to link it psychiatry. That does not treat it or even diagnose it. I see your general knowledge is as poor as your military know how. Now something about manners. Even if someone has any of that, its actually pathetic to use it as a taunt. Don't know what sort of environment you are exposed to.

You kept poking in with useless stunts for Turkish marketing. Your nonsense responses in Pakistan navy Yarmook class thread were of same nature, arguing, insulting without any reason with arslan and others. Do you enjoy getting spanked or what? Trying to portray Turkish bullshit in every forum as its something relevant. The J-10C forum is being derailed with that nonsense, same was happening with Yarmook class ships.

TL;DR don't care.

On 22nd July 2014 at 8 pm two Pakistan Air Force pilots Group Captain Azman Khaleel and Squadron Leader Asim took off in F-16B (Serial# 82602) from PAF Base Mushaf to conduct an airstrike on terrorist Hideout.
After reaching the target location pilot dropped a Joint Direct Attack Munition(JDAM) bomb on Terrorist Hideout.
Soon after the launched due to some technical issue the bomb immediately exploded in the air and caused extensive damage to the Fighter jet
F-16 Fighter Jet went out of control into a spin manoeuvre and was quickly descending toward the ground. Group Captain Azman Khaleel who was on the backseat didn’t panicked and took the control of Fighter jet from Sq Ldr Asim. Skilled pilot Immediately took corrective action and was able to take fighter jet out of the uncontrolled spin manoeuvre
After taking control he realized that due to Hydraulic and Fuel leakage its impossible fly fighter jet back to PAF Base Mushaf. So he turned fighter jet toward nearest Airfield and requested PAF Base M.M. Alam for an emergency landing
After reaching PAF Base M.M. Alam he tried to land F-16 fighter but during landing, he realized that fighter Jet throttle system is failed and F-16 is not slowing down.
To counter this situation he took off again and contacted Air traffic controller. He informed ATC about the whole situation and requested them to arrange Aircraft arresting barriers
After circling Airfield he made a second attempted to land damaged F-16. He was able to successfully land the F-16 at the Starting of Runway. After that F-16 started moving toward the barrier and with the help of an Aircraft arresting barrier pilot was able to stop fighter jet
The pilot ordered the maintenance crew and technician to turn off F-16 engine from outside.

For this action in aerial combat, he was awarded the Tamgha-I-Basalat by Pakistan.

Extremely interesting. Please share the full story how it was repaired again. (hope members don't mind in this thread).

If I am not wrong. We’d need US permission to remove/replace subsystems in order to upgrade the F16s.
To even service particular systems you need permissions and if you don’t inform them an alarm goes off or that system can lock up.

More so on the block-52s because of the kit they have but some on the MLUs as well.

But all are in due of some regular updates which aren’t even in the sphere of capability but unfortunately nothing is coming without US approval or money.

So the ex Jordanian ones do represent an opportunity but they are just 13.

I personally dont believe sanctions can be circumvented via Turkiye, but I'm no expert. @Oscar is the right gent to address this.
They cannot - this isn’t the 90s and Turkey has its own supply chain to worry about.

It took a lot to convince US and LM to allow MLU at TAI - NOTHING on those F-16s can be done without US approval - not even a Turkish screw.

The structural repair did get a lot of pushback and its not been a perfect fix.
