Well yeah it's either keep pumping into tankers or damage the wells. Once shut there's a window how long they can be shut before the oil inside rig pipes and valves coagulate.

What makes you think this, Iran war cost will be high but Usa with backing from GCC, EU can wage a big war, plus the new regime will give alot of economy benefits. The only reason this may be avoided is if Usa believes regime cannot be toppled, similar to Afghanistan how after 20 years Taliban were replaced by Taliban.

Is it possible IsraeI Usa avoided targeting Iranian oil and gas because of Chinese serious pressure, otherwise the 15000 bombs dropped on Iran could have easily destroyed them.
