Saudis are known liars. They claimed the Saudi airspace and bases will not be used in an attack on Iran and guess what? Not only the Saudis allowed the Americans to use them, but they asked Trump to finish the job and financed it too.
Of all Arabs in the Middle East, particularly the Persian Gulf states, Saudis are our worst enemy. Excluding the eastern parts of Saudi Arabia like Qatif, we share the least with the Saudis in terms of culture. Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, the Emirates, even Qatar share a lot more with us than we do with them.

It is a myth that GCC countries wanted this war. I believe people like Trita Parsi say the same thing. I mean just look at how far the GCC suffered already. They must not have been any under illusions that Americans would prioritize their safety over Israel's safety before this war began. And now we have a potentially a situation where the decades long peace and prosperity of multiple GCC countries is destroyed for long. Why the hell they would want a war? They knew the Iranian missiles and drone capabilities well. Everyone knew that. I mean, everyone!
I believe the stupid Israeli attack on Qatar shifted the sands from beneath some Arab countries and they started to see Israel as a greater threat than Iran was perceived to be hitherto.
