Pakistan-India Conflict 2025: News Updates and Discussion

Consider the shit show it presented at Dubai, even at airshows Tejas wouldn't perform, infact will probably be banned from flying.....or by virtue of idiocy of IAF, ban IAF pilots from flying anything at civilian airshows.

They can crash and burn and die all they want in India.
At this point Tejas is effectively a dead elephant.

As a Pakistani, I hope they keep harping on this project and invest on it like a bottomless pit. Hence, we all should cheer this project.

As well as the project failure (to be fair Indians must have learnt a lot of developed some tech off the back of it), the real crushing blow is that with no Tejas delivery and no signed Rafale follow on order there is no new fighters coming in to the IAF in the next 5 years at least.

Take into account average attrition in IAF is around 12 a year, you are looking at 3 full sqds being lost in the next 5 years with no new planes being delivered.

You then have to take into account that the only newish planes in the IAF are the 28 Rafales (which will be reduced by attrition to possibly 26 planes, in effect a large sqd), in effect in 5 years IAF will be made up of just 25 Sqds, of these only 1 will be modeen (the 26 Rafales).

People are not doing the math here, but unless Tejas performs a miracle akin to Moses parting the Red Sea or France gives them 2 Sqds of Rafales from it's own air force, they are absolutely F**KED!

Continuing to harp on Tejas would mean resources for other projects will need to be scaled back.

While, the next 5th gen aircraft in line India is hoping to get off the ground is AMCA.

You are right. IAF is a conundrum for the next 5 years. Rafales will take time. Tejas nowhere. AMCA long way away. Su57s if at all the deal goes through. Jaguars, Mirage2000s, Mig29s airframes nearing end of life.

No one in India has the sanity or courage to question Indian media or the so called Indian defence analysts over their reports or claims of shooting down PAF jets !

Their dream of becoming a middle power and net security provider of middle east as well as a challenger of China

Them being behind the frontlines means Indians send resources to deal with them. They take away strength and resources from their front lines to protect their rear or arrange it from somewhere else. The goal of the paragliders could be destroying the Indian side of the front lines or stopping supplies going there. Finding 1k soldiers scattered behind your front lines isn’t easy. They’ve probably would have a week’s worth of supplies. It’s like fighting a mini insurgency right behind your front lines while fighting an enemy from the front. The goal would be to cause India’s frontlines to break with it.
Also as you said, future Pakistan-India wars will be short so long term supplies isn’t needed. And yes it would be basically suicide or victory. But the rewards are very high if successful.
History is full of such operations behind enemy lines and has proven if they’re successful they can lead to winning the battle/war.
Except insurgents are ideologically driven and will fight to death, whereas soldiers will surrender if the going gets tough a la Operation Gibraltar and E. Pakistan.

Too late, we need Modi flying over and serving Munir tea before we even think of talking to these snakes again....

I think this has more to do with things like overflight restrictions that are hurting air india rather than anything we hit.

I think it is to do with the new Rocket force which completely destroys their entire narrative of wanting to try and become a "new Israel" in South Asia where they can bomb other countries but not get hit back.

That is no longer the case as the rocket force creates a new step in the escalation ladder where New Delhi can, and will be hit by the rocket force in any stand off in the future.

The rocket force has totally punctured any pretense Indians had of them selves being a super power if their Capital city looks like "boom boom Tel Aviv" in the next round.

While India can also create a rocket force of their own, the optics of New Delhi being hit alongside their ego, is the "new barrier" now.

Imho ! :)

Maybe, but then again it hasn't stopped them from attacking us and escalating like attacking our airbases and vital assets, something that we're still reluctant to do all in the name of "restraint". They called out our nuclear bluff and seem to be pretty happy having these skirmishes every time there's a jihadi attack in Kashmir, while we always seem to be on the backfoot with lukewarm responses and too sacred to escalate to the same extent they are.

Not long ago, these suckers were propagating theories of Nur Khan being home to American Nukes - and somehow the Iranian military hardware is routinely sheltered few meters away and yanks didn't know. Lol
