Another targeted attack on a Kashmiri inside Muazaffarabad, reported by Dawn. But it looks like this time the target managed to survive (but critically wounded) and the police captured the suspect as well, and openly saying RAW was involved.
The Indians have been quite active and successful in Pakistan over the past few years in tracking and killing individuals they deem a threat to their national security.
India seems to operate with impunity in Pakistan through two main tracks: 1. Targeting of Kashmiri militants and associated elements and 2. upscaling the Baluch and TTP militancy at an unprecedented scale.
The Pakistani state seems hopeless in confronting both challenges and even the much advertised anti-TTP airstrikes turned out to be simple cosmetic operations designed assuage domestic unease over the Pakistan military leadership’s credibility.
Just today, there was a major terror attack in Quetta where dozens of people died.
