You made fun on me when I said BURFIS AESA Radar will detect 1m2 RCS target from 200km away

Now TRTHABER says Aselsan AESA Radar has higher level than its American counterparts.
It is stated that the national AESA radar has twice the sending and receiving capacity of the AN/APG-77 Radar used on F-22

AN/APG-77 Radar detect Aircraft from 500 km away and 1m2 RCS target from 200+ km away

so with the new technological level achieved with GaN modules, MURAD AESA radar can scan a max range of approximately 500 km in the air

That will be enough to detect 1 m2 RCS target from 200 km away to fire GOKHAN ramjet powered long range air to air Missile

and BURFIS AESA Radar will be more powerful than both MURAD and AN/APG-77 Radars

Aselsan MURAD AESA Radar with 1280 GaN T/R modules
Aselsan BURFIS AESA Radar with 2000+ GaN T/R modules

AN/APG-77 AESA Radar with 1.956 GaAS T/R modules

RAFALE Fighter Jet has RBE2 AESA Radar with 838 GaAs T/R modules and detect 1m2 RCS target from 110-130 km away

RCS
RAFALE : 1 m2
F-16V block70 : 1 m2

KAAN Fighter Jet even with GE F110 Engines has much lower RCS than RAFALE and F-16V
so many inaccuries.

  • it's not TRT Haber. It's from an unknown paper TR Haber. Having read some of their articles, it suffices to conclude that they have no idea of what they're talking about. The claims are all over the place.
  • I did not mock you. I simply pointed out that you are using made-up unofficial numbers to further your claims. you do not know a radar's raw power or its software capabilities to make even an educated guess. you are simply using a few buzzwords like GaAs or GaN and extrapolate your ideas without any system knowledge of the said products.
  • Murad AESA has 1152 T/R modules, not 1280.
  • The claims in the article are not directly MURAD related. They say the GaN technology can detect 1sq meters aircrafts from 500km(which is bs).
  • why do they constantly use F22 as a benchmark? the Americans are retiring them in favor of F35 and NGAD. If we're comparing our radars with the best, then the comparison should be done against APG-85 not APG-77.

As like TEMEL KOTIL ?

TAI General Manager Temel Kotil, in previous interviews, said, “A huge radar will come to HÜRJET. As for capability, it will be a small F-16. We will install ASELSAN radar, which can see 200 km, on HÜRJET. Its nose is made accordingly, so it will be the same as the F-16 radar. "We will place our missiles on it," he said

even RAFALE Fighter Jet old RBE2 AESA Radar detect 1m2 RCS target from 110-130 km away
( with 838 GaAs T/R modules )

  • The claims in the article are not directly MURAD related. They say the GaN technology can detect 1sq meters aircrafts from 500km(which is bs).

500 km range against large size Aircraft

Even Boeing E7-T AEWC AESA Radar detect 1 m2 RCS from 350 km away
Nose AESA Radars can not detect 1 m2 RCS from 500 km away

AN/APG-77 AESA Radar detect 1m2 RCS target from 200+ km
AN/APG-81 AESA Radar detect 1m2 RCS target from 160+ km

if Turkish AESA Radar detect 1 m2 RCS target from 200 km away that will be enough to use GOKHAN ramjet powered long range air to air missile effectively

TEMEL KOTIL always says that KAAN will detect enemy Fighter Jet ( RAFALE , F-16 ) from 200 km

TAI focused on BVR combat with very powerful AESA Radar and GOKHAN ramjet powered long range air to air missile

  • Murad AESA has 1152 T/R modules, not 1280.

YES .... 1.152 T/R Modules

16 chip = 1 anten yapı taşı
72 yapı taşı = l.152 modül = MURAD AESA Radar

according to this clown Sweden was never going to join NATO

Any turd can grab a stick and repeat some talking points in front of a screen and be considered an expert these days.

Reality hurts Greek fanboys
You are nothing

but He served in the Turkish Army for 16 years
and He retired from the Special Forces in 2004 with the rank of major

He is talking about the reality
Greece gets 84 F-16V ...... on the other hand Turkisye has developed MURAD AESA Radar to modernize 150+ F-16s for block70 standard ( OZGUR-2 upgrade program )

also 40 new F-16V and 79 kits for block70 modernization

so Greece gets 84 F-16V and 24 RAFALE with AESA Radar ... ( Total of 108 Fighter Jets )
Turkiye gets at least 270 block70 with AESA Radar

also KIZILELMA and ANKA-3 unmanned stealth Fighter Jets will be equipped with MURAD AESA Radar and air to air Missiles

Airborne AESA Radars in Europe

CAPTOR-E .... consortium ( The UK ,Germany , Italy , Spain ) ... Eurofighter
RBE2 ... France .... Rafale
RAVEN ES-05 ... Italy ..... JAS GRİPEN
MURAD ... Turkiye ... F-16 , AKINCI , HURJET , KIZILELMA and ANKA-3

Also BURFIS ... Turkiye ... under development for KAAN Fighter Jet

Here we go again...since summer you've been saying "Germany's positive approach is expected".

If they allow it, ok, if they don't who cares, its a buyer's market. I'd rather Turkey stick to F-16s and not complicate the fleet. The Eurofighters were backup options anyways in case some BS happened with Bob Menendez, but that issue solved itself when Gold Bar Bob got caught red handed and was forced to resign his chairmanship.

If the Germans block it only reflects bad on them, as other states will be less likely to cooperate on joining projects with them, certainly the UK will think twice as they chose to not join the German and French FCAS, and went with Tempest(although I suspect they may experience similar issues with Japan's export laws).

I'd rather Turkey get the min it needs with F-16 upgrade kits and a min amount of new airframes that are needed(with as much sources domestically as possible) to get the job done, upgrade the rest with the Ozgur upgrades, and just have patience until domestic platforms are ready. I suspect in the 2030s and 2040, having the bulk of your force be manned platforms would be a bad choice anyways, with the amount of wingman drones and other autonomous drone systems we will see being the bulk, being controlled with a system of systems aircraft. And I think Turkey is well primed to be successful if that sort of air warfare doctrine becomes dominant, given its investments in AI and UAVs.

That would be the best. Because they're waiting for their own fighter jets to come out and they'll also get F-16Vs and the Ozgur. The Phantom that will be retired can be replaced by their own indigenous aircraft.

"I believe it will be resolved in a short time."

🔸Minister Güler's statement regarding the procurement of Eurofighter Typhoon
"We, as Turkİye, have been expressing that we want to buy such a plane from the very beginning.

Eurofighter is not only a system belonging to our German friends, it is a consortium.
There is The UK , there is Spain. Our German friends have been obsessed with it from the very beginning.

There are points. As two countries that are members of an organization such as NATO, it is not possible for us to accept this. We often share this with our friends. I personally believe that giving Eurofighters to Saudi Arabia could be a start. "

"HAVASOJ is very important.
TAI and Aselsan are carrying out intensive activities. 4 of our Aircraft will be ready in 2025 and 2026."

HAVASOJ Airborne Stand off Jammer
Airborne SOJ will be produced for the purpose of detecting and diagnosing enemy communication systems and radars (air defense, early warning, etc.), finding their location, and mixing and deceiving these systems in order not to use them against friendly elements, especially in cross border operations
1714728640631.png

HAVASOJ will combine many different electronic warfare capabilities on a single Aircraft

-- Radar Electronic Support and Electronic Attack Sub System
-- Communication Electronic Support and Electronic Attack Sub System
-- Self Protection Sub System
-- Communication and Tactical Data-Link Sub System
-- Sense and counter measure capabilities of Radar and Missile threats
-- AESA Technology
