Broadly speaking, there are 2 subdivisions:
1. Poverty
2. Extreme poverty
In pakistan, according to the calculations below [ which are not followed by pakistan ], poverty should be more than 60 % and extreme poverty might be nearer to the estimated figure of 38 -43 % as quoted above.
Even some educated primary school teachers don't earn enough to cross the poverty threshold.
Without the 32 / 33 division level economic model being discussed these days, anything less, is going to drag pakistan into more poverty and economic crisis.
The update results in a new international poverty line of $3.00 per person per day, which replaces the previous $2.15 poverty line based on 2017 PPPs.

percentage of the population living on less than $3.00 a day at 2021 international prices.

The bastard ruling elite kanjars have just destroyed it all. They take IMF and other loans and put it in their personal accounts locally and/or move it to their accounts in other countries. Their entire TABBARS are foreign nationality holders (as well as parliamentarians, senators, bureaucrats, military families, judiciary and all).
These elites are more loyal to white-skin europeans and americans rather than Pakistan where they rule with iron fist
The poor and even middle class has and is fast disappearing. The Govt keeps adding taxes and surcharges and bills on electricity, even punishing those who got solars installed, and increases prices of electricity and gas and water and all that every 10-15 days........
no other country in the entire world raised prices to such levels like Pakistan, lagta hai Jung ne sirf inko affect kiya, no other countries!
And then they wonder why the people are pissed at the army, when the army is the one protecting these incompetent corrupts everywhere to keep the corruption ongoing
