So now we are among few nations that can build hovercraft at home.... great news and much needed boost to our coastguard....

Out of 16 total attack submarines (All being non-AIP). 9 Submarines are atleast 36 years older or even more.

Out of 16 total attack submarines (All being non-AIP). 9 Submarines are atleast 36 years older or even more.

in between 2026-30 no SSKs/SSNs will be inducted but all the projects are to be realized between 2031-35 are as follows

Project 75 - Kalvari class = 6 (AIP will be integrated in MLU) + 3 in line with AIP - under negotiation MDL & GoI
Project 75I - Type 214 = 6+3 (finalized) to be built by MDL
Project 76 - 3k size subs - approx 6+3 (sanctioned) to be built by LT
Project 77 - 10k size SSN - 6 nos to be built by LT

Below video from Alpha Defense suggesting that India is very serious about its nuclear submarines.... we have confirmed knowledge on SSBN and SSN program.... but this video suggests India is planning for SSGNs as well....

So we will have all types of nuclear submarines just like America..... wah waa wah waa

Below video from Alpha Defense suggesting that India is very serious about its nuclear submarines.... we have confirmed knowledge on SSBN and SSN program.... but this video suggests India is planning for SSGNs as well....

So we will have all types of nuclear submarines just like America..... wah waa wah waa

Sandeep Unnithan had broken this news, he's like the go to person for this. By 2040s Navy's submarine fleet alone will have 200-250 offensive VLS cells apart from torpedo tubes. Probably even higher since 2 SSNs alone will have 30-40 VLS cells apparently and 4 more are to be acquired. SSGNs obviously will have more VLS cells so could be 300+ as well.

Looking at the speed our nuclear submarine program everything is doable by 2040.... no doubt about it....

These submarines along with Brahmos will be capable of firing our hypersonic cruise missiles like LRHASHMs that is now under testing...
