A lot of Germans settled there as well.
Sounds about right. Egypt need to work on possession. Can't just be trying to score on dramatic counter attacks especially if you're 2-0 up with 10mins left. The objective there should be to shut the crowd up and shut up shop with boring keep-ball. Risks were not needed at all.The heat map actually suggested Argentina dominating the match, and if not for the Egypt goalie playing an outstanding match, Argentina would have had 2 or 3 more goals than it had (including 1 penalty) on the scoreboard
Egypt was too focused on counter-attack, which scored them the second goal, then they were hardly seen in the Argentinian half, and even in midfield, after the second half.
Arsene Wenger raised this exact issue about the offside rule, that it should not apply over a matter of mm's only. Agreed.VAR has advantages but is calibrated with tolerances which have been under investigation many times before
and the pattern seems to be on play back and few mm of off side
that does not give a meaningful advantage in open play
1 foot in front yes fair play VAR should check but when you are a few mm or play back 30 seconds then it becomes controversial
secondly the VAR also seems to be very inconstant in its application
Paraguay got none
yet Iran and Egypt both robbed
Egyptians are no saint they always behave like they are some super power. Reality is thaey are just a lapdpg of israelArgentinians are very racist. They think they are Europeans.
Argentina is becoming like Israel in football:

Norway or Morocco winning this World Cup would be fine with me.A lot of former Nazis migrated Post WW2. So racism in Argentine society isn't surprising.
On WC - Switzerland didn't seem convincing. Argentina will very likely go to Semis and face either Norway or England. Although Argentina England will be a classic match up, I will root for Norway. Hope they make it to the Finals. Let's have a new champion this year.
England for me but they have to go through hell just to reach the finals which will be hell itself against French.Norway or Morocco winning this World Cup would be fine with me.
VAR had to be used in a way that's fair, as I said before, if the Ref is just going to give it a go whenever he/she likes it, that's not going to be fair. And until they change it, I will always be against VAR.They want the big teams to advance, more money for the tournament. VAR will always favour certain teams. They ruin matches, apologise, and move on. Zero consequences on there end. And it’s Embarrassing. Id give you example, England was lucky forget what English fans boys say on here Ghana was denied a clear VAR penalty against England and English playerShould have been sent off. Anyways back to Argentina , Argentinians played like world champions in the last 20 mins ! No denying Brillant Messi absolutely showed why he is the greatest footballer.

I would say Egypt played ultra-defensively almost the entire second half. I was looking at the stats on TV at one point, and they only got 18% possession in the second half. There are only 2 guys from Egypt that would drive into Argentinan half, the first time they succeeded (well, that's the second time, the first time they scored but was disallowed) and Argentina simply close the door, I don't think I seen more than 3 attacks from Egyptian side after the second score, and it's quite obvious the Egyptian was trying to defend the lead.Sounds about right. There were moments where Salah should have driven towards the corners and just kept hold of the ball or won throw-ins/corners. Game management!
