Nationalism and Patriotism has failed in Pakistan as it is absent on the ground. The people are of different nationalities and linguistic groups. Urdu is only a common language. The political leadership in Punjab is promoting Punjabi Nationalism as it is scared of Pashtuns under Imran Khan. Only religion can unite Pakistan and the region around it.

They need to declare governer rule and get rid of the troublemakers and sympathizers. KPK needs a firm hand to give them direction.
Can they even do proper rebuilds after a war. Lets say they had to fight a guerilla war against deeply entrenched taliban proxies in Peshawar and the city becomes a warzone, they couldn't afford to rebuild it.
So they are being passive and kicking the can down the road.
Chechnya and Xinjiang were fixed by building better than before and everyone was happy. The same will need to be done across the western frontiers.

The Pro-US taliban side (which is supported by Saudis, UAE and Pakistan) is the one that US-trump admin did the deal with during the exit, THESE talibans have been exiled/kicked out of Kabul.
The pro-be (Iran?)- russia-india Taliban leaders/ factions are now in charge, These ones are essentially acting as mercenaries, Kabul needs tons of money to run and they dont have any big sources apart from drug-trade (which Pakistan has closed off the routes) so they are heavily reliant on Indian and Iranian money right now, thats why they don't stomp down the india-backed TTP groups.
Or Iran on BLA : Taliban isn’t 1 group, The current Taliban/afghans are the same ones that invited the soviets into the country back during the soviet-afghan war (the ones that fought them are the exiled/kicked out pro-us ones)
RAWALPINDI needs to stop puSSYING footing around negotiations with this lot currently running Kabul is a waste of time. If Pakistan can place Taliban in Afghanistan it can replace them I say do it ASAP!!!

Pakistani patriotism needs to be formed around a shared Pakistani identity that encompasses all the ethnic groups that make up Pakistan. Effective governance that carries out it's duties and fulfils the needs of ALL the citizens needs to be created so that everyone in Pakistan feels included. Pakistani patriotism and nationalism can emerge from this. A shared Pakistani Islamic identity can hold this together too.
