I'm not saying I believe this random twitter post. But it does present us with an interesting case study.

Why does Iran simply not stay quiet and execute its plan and then either: (a) retrospectively explain what it's done, or even (b) deny having done it (to create at least some minor confusion via the perception of false flagging by Israel)?

For a weaker party in an asymmetric war, to announce every minor escalatory step well in advance is rather amateurish. I don't recall such behaviour in an asymmetric war between nation states ever.

USA can certainly play this game of making x,y,z generalised threat and then following through on it. Iran cannot match USA in this particular game.

The US is not fighting a symmetrical war. What I can not understand is why is Iran firing 50 Shahed drones and not 500 or 1000 a day .
It is clear that AD as far as Jordan has been decimated . Why is not IRGC just destroying and inflicting pain on Kuwait? In my opinion they are the weakest link of the PGCC countries . Most of the HIMARS are stationed in Kuwait .

What you say is correct, but why hasn't Iran gone all out despite the setbacks you listed? Ever wondered why? It is because the Iranians fully realise that getting involved in a tit for tat with a superpower would ultimately be suicidal. Unless, of course, you are a fully fledged nuclear power with a credible triad capability. That changes the equation entirely. The Iranian Ayatollah deemed nuclear weapons impermissible. Today, they are discovering the implications.

As I said, Iran has found Trump's Achilles' heel namely, the Strait of Hormuz and US military bases in client Gulf states. As long as Iran keeps pounding these, even Trump's dad couldn't do much. Iran is punishing the entire world when the Americans and Israelis transgress. The Iranians are economically hurting the Americans, Israelis and the entire herd of sheep by choking off the Strait of Hormuz. Now tell me, isn't that a brilliant strategy?

The Pakistani delegation is crucial to Iran stretching this out.

Trump is the last of the Epstein presidents.

Future presidents won’t be as pliant.

Even though Iran did call, Pakistan is simply not interested in acting as a mediator this time around. Unless something huge changes, Pakistan will not be steping in to broker a ceasefire. This is very clear from how quiet and indifferent Pakistan's government has been following this latest escalation between Iran and the US.

Ultimately, if the IRGC wants to fight, they should just go ahead and fight to their heart's content. It is sad, but it seems like pride and political egos are much more important to them than actual human lives.
