Alright, maybe I got the timing wrong. Chinese companies were sanctioned, and we didn't care.
And the glory of our company is to one day make it onto the "White House Select" list.

No, no one will agree with toll tax on Strait of Hormuz and Iran will not get it. The Strait of Hormus is nature made international water ways and Iran cannot charge toll tax. This time, Iran has started the conflict by attacking civilian ships passing through Oman's side of Hormuz.
Leave aside Strait of Hormuz, do you think its difficult for Kuwait, Qatar, Saudia, UAE, Oman to attack Iranian oil tankers in Persian gulf IF they demand toll tax from Iran and Iran doesn't pay the toll tax. Even Behrain can target civilian ships in Persian Gulf. Its EASY.
Iranians are victim of their state sponsored propaganda and living far from realities and any thing which is rational to the wider world.

China has been supporting Iran and Russia through various means like buying energy and helping subvert sanctions regimes. China is doing this as part of its geopolitical defense against the West, which has been loudly targeting China. There are limits however to Chinese support.

No, they were not agreed. There was point added in memorandum which talks about future discussion on the management of Hormuz. The Strait of Hormuz is opened to all and it was agreed in 14 points memorandum.
 
Keeping Israel out of war is the most smartest move by DT.

Now, it's Iran against Arabs and Arab with Arab themselves. Isreal is sitting and watching the show and getting amazed. Perhaps he will enter the ring once the job is almost done.

It’s also smart for Iran. We can focus on the U.S. bases in the Arab countries first and degrade the U.S. air defence network before going after Israel later.

Why does Iran simply not stay quiet and execute its plan and then either: (a) retrospectively explain what it's done, or even (b) deny having done it (to create at least some minor confusion via the perception of false flagging by Israel)?

For a weaker party in an asymmetric war, to announce every minor escalatory step well in advance is rather amateurish. I don't recall such behaviour in an asymmetric war between nation states ever.

USA can certainly play this game of making x,y,z generalised threat and then following through on it. Iran cannot match USA in this particular game.

For a layman, it'd look like Iranians want to make a new deal, hence they announce their threats in advance and Iranian airplane carrying unknown delegation landed in Qatar few hours go. Unlike Ukranians, which silently destroys 100+ ships in a matter of 10 days in sea of Azov.
