THINK TANK: CONSULTANT
The US can’t continue to be rewarded and allowed to get away with flagrant violations of international law and terrorizing and destabilizing countries around the world. We’re also seeing the US actively work to whitewash the genocide of Palestinians at the hands of Israel and even end the ICC.
Unfortunately, all in a day's work for a super power in a world run on its whims and not any moral code. Has always been, will be forever...unless humanity evolves to a higher conscious. Nothing that Iran can do to the US today will change that.
If Iran falls without consequences for the US, expect other countries to be next in line at some point.
The empire will never be satisfied again.
Empires cannot be satisfied. Any country that stands in its way will be standing in line. Whether Iran falls or does not fall, with or without consequences, will have no consequence on the MO of the reigning super power, not even vis a vis Iran. Never has, the US included; Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq, even Iran of 1953 were far more consequential for the US than today and yet less consequential for the US Vs the other country. Countries run decisions on calculations and politics, they will do whatever they feel they can get away with and/or whatever their politicians feel they must do for whatever reason.
Iran must not fall, period. It needs to hold tight to pragmatism and only focus on its 'out'. Any situation better than what it had going into this will be its win. Romanticized notions of cutting the US down in size are beyond the power imbalance between their military, economic, and geopolitical sizes. Any premature attempts to do so will only further exacerbate the predicament. The stakes don't even match; It's the richest degenerates in the world losing some billions in stocks Vs Iran's existence, including thousands of innocent Iranian lives. Unwise to continue playing this hand.
