It is for this very reason, that Pakistan cannot manage its economic affairs, that makes Pakistan a poor security partner it is always vulnerable to needing loans and aid to "just keep the lights on". As the UAE case proved, Pakistan's chain can be yanked easily due to poor economic policies and mismanagement.
Agree - Saudi's have been there economically, but that same problem makes Pakistan a poor security provider. How much military power can Pakistan "devote" to the alliance? At most 1 or 2 JF17 squadrons and soldiers in the low tens of thousands.
Agreed, these arrangments will simply not work unless there is a MASSIVE level of investment in new kit, training and infra. Pakistan cannot afford that
