although, this scene looks rather unwantedwhat is your proposal in minimising collateral?
Yemen, Djibouti, Somalia, Nigeria and Sudan don't even have a Navy to contribute. And how will Qatar or Bahrain or Kuwait get their Navy ships out of Hormuz so they can patrol the Red Sea ?Yeah, they couldn't even get UAE and Oman to sign on, or the US or NATO allies. This seems like more of a limited diplomatic statement. I am guessing military operations against Houthis will be limited to Saudi and American forces. Can't really imagine Bangladesh deploying their naval assets against the Houthis.
I dont share your optimism nor do many on the ground - but as they say "umeed pay duniya qaim hai""The problem with that analogy is that it fails. The guy that you are actually have tangible skills and the rich friends have numbers on a spreadsheet. You have lots of guns and ammo. And a garden which keeps you fed, if not overmuch fed. You credit card is maxed out, but its with a small limit and you have never missed a payment.
Your house looks dilapidated, but the roof keeps out the rain., Your car is rickety and old, but it is very reliable and goes anywhere, while you friedn masarati needsnpoerfct roads,.
There is a reason why when there is an actual problem, you are fine, be it COVID, or wars or insurgencies or financial emergencies, since tou have actual atanible assets that you can depliyt and your friends have seen it.
create more fires outside and use more than one type of fire extuingisher
and importantly, change your fire fighter often, dont rely on any 1!
Unfortunately - that is what is missed.I am sorry but some Pakistani's has totally become absolute Chutiya's, so far only the coaliation is announced and Pakistan hasn't even fired a single bullet towards Iran or Houthi's, and here Pakistani's are fighting like dogs and cursing their own country, Iranian cucks in almost every thread blast their own country Pakistan if Pakistan just condemned attacks on civilian structure or not say/do what Iranians wants, and on the other hand we have Temu Wanna be Arabs Pakistani's who would blast off Pakistan for trying to keep their relationship with Iran intact and not to become part of any alliance that will harm Iranian civilians.
Pakistani's interests should be Pakistan first, not Iran not KSA... and those who often critcize of so call moral delimma that Pakistan should side with the victim side, there is no victims here... everyone has dirt on their hands which include Pakistan as well.
Unfortunately - that is what is missed.
The same Iranians certain quarters of society are cheering for (in certain cases rightly due to how the conflict was imposed by Israel) is THE SAME IRAN that a few years ago was actively letting India operate networks on its soil against Pakistan.
That is also the same Iran that launched an attack on Pakistan ---
And to go further, also the same Iran that Pakistan was allowing groups on its soil to forment issues for - and also the same Iran that Pakistan was against in Afghanistan in certain areas and cooperating in certain areas.
Also the same Iran that was using its self claimed hold over a sect to push hundreds of Pakistanis into its proxy wars and even fund them.
And you can take that and apply that in various ways across for UAE - Qatar - and so on.
Nothing is a zero sum game here and no claims of "ordinary" Pakistanis work because ordinary Pakistanis will curse the US and then gulp McDonalds while leaving everybody in the dust if ever green cards are handed out.
However, states do not have friends nor enemies - they have timed interests that go beyond generations.
Not in a scenario when you don't have enough resources to put out the fire in your own backyard.
we are talking about a conflict in which significant number of participants believe that the world is coming to an end or a new age is about to begin. the conflict involves societies and cultures which rely on superstitions and lay dormant on ancient texts, order and prophecies.

I will bet my left arm - that if a similar "climb aboard" situation happens in Pakistan as it did in Afghanistan or Vietnam - those planes would fill so much they would not take off.I disagree, on so many levels!
respectfully, many Pak. who earn more than PKR 300,000 with company maintained car and housing allowance excl. of salaries, would never leave Pak.!!
and even if Pak. prefer to stay outside of Pak, not many would choose USA and UK
that exactly, is the problem, painting a picture, which does not even exist!

Interesting on how "moving goal posts" is used here when you started this by claiming a picture “does not even exist”: that plenty of Pakistanis on PKR 300,000+(how many Pakistanis are earning that? you? congrats - who else? what percentage?) with company car and housing would never leave, and that even among those who live abroad, “not many” would choose the US or UK. I answered with a stress test, not a lifestyle survey. You used a privileged subset’s current satisfaction to deny a broader pattern, then accused others of fantasy.sharp observation..
wouldnt afghanis do the same!
of course, many Pak. would like to leave, but, you are painting it, as if every one wants to leave..!
further, I know so many Pak. in the UK, who after getting British passport, have now chosen KSA or UAE.. over the UK!
Im sure, you are aware of many such people!
respectfully, this assertion that given the chance, many Pak. would want to leave (which BTW is now a change of goal post from your side!) utterly overlooks ground realities. Any one not happy with anything does not want to leave his/her place, either!
for instance, my father had the offer twice to settle in the UK between 8s0s and 90s, he didnt accept, bec, he thought out way of living lives were different!
many would want to leave, but, practically, many are tried here also!
further, cutting your hands to weigh your argument, I dont see how that makes you claim strong!
cut your hand, dont under-weight your argument!

People on good local packages stay all the time. They also keep IELTS bookings, Gulf CVs, Canadian Express Entry math, sibling affidavits, and “if it gets bad we go” family plans. Staying while insured is not the same as “would never leave.”
Then, the gulf example is the easier way out - not the desired way out. But somehow in our logic - volume destination ≠ UK/US, therefore the exit picture is fake.
Now -
“Wouldn’t Afghans do the same?” - uhh.. they did.. and I cant tell if you agree or disagree with exactly what I posted.
“You’re painting it as if everyone wants to leave.” ... Only if you rewrite hyperbole about crisis overcrowding into a national census, then brave the census. I didn’t run a census. You invented one because it was easier to fight for you.
1. After getting British passport - pretty much ends the debate right then of the value of that example.
2. “My father declined the UK in the 80s/90s.” One household, another era, selected for your argument.
3. “Anyone unhappy doesn’t necessarily want to leave” - or they dont have the opportunity to leave?
“Change of goalposts.”
No. Your goalposts were “this picture doesn’t exist / comfortable people never leave / West isn’t the choice.” - I gave you a stress test and then you moved the posts to “not literally everyone” and “some prefer Dubai to Croydon”.
All you are doing is saying "look at all these people sitting comfortably outside the airport, in waiting lounges for all types of class - none of them want to leave" and giving the example of DHA Raya living 300k off daddy money as some valid rebuttal.
