Minimum of 4 years per ship if they are constructed in different shipyards and göksur could also be the stand alone version with 12 missiles

Each Destroyer would create an air defense bubble with a diameter of 200 km , and 4 Destroyers would cover critical areas of the Eastern Mediterranean (around Cyprus, energy fields).

This would create a de facto "no-fly zone" effect: Approaching Aircraft would be threatened from long range, and even stand-off weapons would be stopped by layered defense

The TF-2000 will be a very powerful air defense Destroyer However, For this, an integrated operation of E-7T AEWC, a long-range S, L , VHF/UHF radar network on Land and platforms like ISTIF class Frigates at sea

Minimum of 4 years per ship if they are constructed in different shipyards and göksur could also be the stand alone version with 12 missiles

According to the strategy of the Presidency of Defence Industries

the construction of these 3 TF-2000 Destroyers will begin simultaneously in 3 different Shipyards and each shipyard will work in parallel to have the ships ready for delivery in approximately 3 years (36 months)

By working in parallel, delivery time is shortened by at least 6-7 years
as like 3 different shipyards produces 7 ISTIF class Frigates simultaneously

and ASELSAN shared an image from its production lines. The image shows the Göksur-100N PDMS ( with 20 missiles ) under production

delivery time of the three i class was also 36 months but it took longer still acceptable but still and TF 2000 is not only much larger but way more complex thats why a 36 months delivery timeline seem unrealistic

Also the EW suite changes and it no longer has a designated illumination radar. This is the old design

There was some hesitation because of the possibility of exporting 2 ISTIF class Frigates to Indonesia.

There is no general delivery delay problem in the İSTİF class Frigate project

Turkiye is simultaneously carrying out the construction and testing activities of 7 ISTIF class Frigates at a speed rarely seen in the defense industry

F-516 , F-517 , F-518 Frigates were launched in 2025
F-519 and F-520 Frigates were launched in 2026

all 5 Frigates will be delivered in 2026-2027 period
also F-515 TCG ISTANBUL entered service in 2024

so 2024-2027 ... total of 6 ISTIF Frigates
two last 2 ISTIF Frigates will be delivered in 2028

For the Turkish naval industry, the production of the TF-2000 within 3 years is a normal outcome.

The planned launch of MUGEM Aircrfat Carrier in september 2027 will be an extraordinary achievement compared to global Aircraft Carrier construction standards.

A massive 60,000 ton and 300 m Aircraft Carrier will be laid down and launched in approximately two years

1 week ago , Turkiye's 6th ISTIF class frigate ( F-520 ) TCG KARADENIZ was launched .. ( July 27, 2026 )

Turkiye responded to Greece's deployment of 4 BELHARRA Frigates with 8 ISTIF Frigates.

contract was signed in January/February 2023 and delivery time was 36 months so...

The mass production contract for the 6th, 7th, and 8th Vessels of the İSTİF class Frigate Project was signed on April 6, 2023

F-516 , F-517 , F-518 Frigates were launched in 2025

The ISTIF Frigates F-516 , F-517 , F-518 are scheduled to be delivered to the Turkish Naval Forces between the end of 2026 and the beginning of 2027, in accordance with the 36-month schedule specified in the contract.

No significant delays are expected for the 3 ISTIF Frigates.

In NATO Countries similar Frigate projects (such as the US's Constellation or the Belgium-Netherlands ASWF projects) experience massive delays of 2 to 5 years and billions of dollars in budget overruns due to supply problems and design flaws.

Türkiye's simultaneous execution of this process in 3 different shipyards is considered a record-breaking in NATO and successful mass production achievement by world standards

German F-126 Frigate project failed
Germany announced the cancellation of its F-126 project in June 2026.
The 2.4 billion euros spent on the project have thus been completely wasted

on the other hand , TURKIYE
1 ISTIF Frigate entered service and 5 ISTIF Frigates were launched between 2024 and 2026

The I-class have 16 vls while TF-2000 have 96. Does turkey have any plans to have something in the middle as well ? Like say 48 VLS cells ship . ?

TF-2000 Flight II Frigates to replace 4 modernized GABYA ( OHP ) class Frigates

120-130 metres long
4,000 to 5,000 tonnes

The TF-2000 is not the sole future combat Ship design that is currently under consideration by the Design Project Office. Research and development efforts are ongoing into the designation of an intermediate class, which has provisionally been referred to as TF-2000 Flight II Frigate

These Vessels are designed to exhibit high levels of manoeuvrability. It is currently planned that the platforms, which will be 120-130 metres long with a displacement of 4,000 to 5,000 tonnes, will reach a speed of 27-28 knots with diesel propulsion

The weapon and sensor load will be similar to that of the TF-2000 Destroyer
