Joint Defense Agreement: Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan, news & updates

The idea only works once the Arab world drops this old ego that they “lead” anything. For decades they genuinely saw themselves as above non‑Arab Muslims and almost equal to Western powers — until Iran shattered that illusion and Pan‑Arabism collapsed. That’s the part people always forget.

If they’re serious about any trilateral defence axis, they’d have to invest heavily into Turkish and Pakistani defence industries. Otherwise, why would anyone die for them? Especially when the likely scenario is the West quietly backing Iran or Israel to drag the region into another Muslim‑on‑Muslim conflict.

Let’s see how this unfolds, but the days of Arabs assuming automatic leadership are over. Any future alignment only works if they recognise that reality first.
Many people also share the delusion that Saudi Arabia is some source of unlimited funding. They are a very rich country, yes, but they also have huge domestic funding commitments. They are running increasingly larger budget deficits and have had to borrow money. Despite the huge spending, their GDP growth has been anaemic as Vision 2030 has mostly been a failure on the financial front.

Do you really think so ? that Turkey poses a threat to israel?

historically the only nation that posed threat on israel among the 3 is just pakistan when they sent some of their pilots to Egypt during 1973 and before it.

Saudia (was) a threat during Faisal era until he was assassinated and now Saudia just pays yearly bribe to the U.S ( trillions) for protection of Al-Saud throne.

what Turkey has done ? absolutely nothing.

Iran had a chance to cause some serious long lasting damage to Israel instead it all just turned out to be small dents that are repairable. They only attacked Israel as a retaliation to decapitation of its leadership.
They blew their chance.

Turkey has more serious weapons that can inflict alot more damages to Israel. If Israel tries to pull Iranian type sh1t on Turkey it wont be just symbolic spam attack that puts small dents. It will be eye for an eye. Just because they have a trade with Israel does not mean they are puppet. FYI China and Russia both do trades with Israel.

Pakistan retaliation will not be conventional if Israel tries to pull same sh1t on Pakistan. Dont need to explain what will happen to them.

Azerbaijan is not going to join this deal. Syria maybe but even Syria is unlikely for now. Egypt is the next likeliest, it really was surprising that they weren't initially included considering meetings were happening in a quadrilateral format.
Those meeting were not related to this agreement but another agreement related to defense production and R&D.

Pakistan, KSA & Turkey already have a committee on it but that is all no common R&D program or product is available at least in public domain.

With all due respect to you as a member here but once Turkey attacks israel once in their history we can discuss how strong Turkey is, other than that , the only countries that attacked israel are ( Egypt-Jordan-Syria-Iran-Lebanon-Iraq-Yemen) and other countries participated with their troops to help us like ( Pakistan for sure - North Korea-Algeria-Cuba-Libya-Sudan-Tunisia-Kuwait and the soviet union).

They have tried to invest in Tourism , I've been there and saw the infrastructure (which is nice btw) , but most of the tourism is domestic tourism, they have nice natural areas but it's know the European and American tourist are the top when it comes to tourists' spendings , why would a european or american visit Saudia ? for desert ? there are plenty of desert and mountains all over the world , what so special ? I see nothing special , they've invested in the wrong field , if the money spent on tourism was to be spent on something for example( industry) it would have been more useful.

First the "Muslim Nato" are losers.
When the Houthis get sent back to stone age then these Muslim NATO will be called genocidal.
I cannot wait to see you and your kind crying.
The Israelis/jews and Shia are most mad about this , funny that?

TBH, I don't want any one to die in the geopolitical wars. I am of the Jeffrey Sachs school of thought: The global pie is big enough for us all. However, about the 'stone age' part: You just can't send the Houthis and the Afghan Taliban back to the Stone Age because they actually are already there. The guy you responded to is an admirer of the Stone Age people, probably because of Pakistan's domestic politics.

American/Europeans go to Egyptian Red Sea resorts right ? Saudis thought why don't we build resorts on our side of the Red Sea and then European/Americans will come there too ! So easy !!

They have indeed wasted a giant amount of money in The Line, tourism and trying to become a sports empire. They will have to cutback on some of those extravagances if this pact is indeed about investing heavily in pact-member military industrial complexes.

Ya , Egyptian red sea resorts and sinai are filled with europeans especially eastern europeans that they even bought our houses and apartments !!!

I really want Saudia the best but they waste tons of money on stupid things , look at this moron Turki-Alsheikh who spend billions on parties and to bring stupid people to entertain the saudis ( like jennifer lopez or that guy speed or whatever) , they milk the Saudis so bad and it's not just millions but BILLIONS.

I hope this pact is about investing in the military industry , I really hope , that would be useful for the Saudis people and even for all arabs.

That is the problem with these grand "Vision " -based projects. They look good in PPTs and spreadsheets, but are highly inefficient. Only consultants and middlemen make money from them.
