Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

Was looking into the sovereign wealth funds of the GCC. Those fkers are rich and can sustain themselves for quite a while.

I could be wrong, but I don't think these are the kinds of funds that you can just draw down from without creating significant ripple effects in the global economy. Would PIF just suddenly sell Newcastle United overnight, for example? What about all the various pension funds around the world that are tied into these SWFs?

Yeah ill be the first to tell u I dont have deep financial knowledge of gcc. They say total wealth funds of gcc is over 5 trillion. I suppose that's quite a sum considering the size and population of gcc.

I do know a lot of that is tied up with the whole usa AI bubble tho

Yeah exactly - getting this money back quickly could risk popping that bubble. I don't think they're (Gulf Arabs) would ever be allowed to do something like that.

If it gets really bad for them, I can see them just taking what money they still have and moving to Europe or the US. All they are are families, at the end of the day.

What liquidity they have can maintain their economy for sometime not sure how long exactly but eventually something has to budget.

Uae has 1.15mil citizens with trillion+ wealth. They can move their whole show if gcc turns into a Sudan or Yemen.

Be upright with me mate and tell me it's directed at Iran. I have more respect with honest people than those that skirt around facts.
Mate I have been on pdf since 2012 and old timers on here will bear me out that as a Pakistani British I have always insisted that for many reasons Iran Pakistan and Chinese interests converge and they should be strong allies. I have also often been critical of Saudi leadrrships. Sauds can be frustrating at times and have made mistakes. But all our countries have made mistakes. Iran in choosing frens like India (who hate muslims) and Russia (putin says 2 mill israelis are Russian speakers and Russian).

Whilst details of the pact are not disclosed and I say good as enemy countries are unsure to exactly what has been agreed there is much speculation,

Whilst Saud and Iran have had a frosty relationship in last few decades dont forget under the Iran under the Shah was a cloe ally of Saudi and recently with Chinese mediation things are a tad better.

Pakistan and Turkey have no major axe to grind with Iran

My hope with this pact is that once American/Iran war is over (i say American and Iran as Israel is a nonentity given oxygen by American and German tax dollars without which they would die) that Iran should either apply or be invited into the pact to make it truly independent of west and more powerful

Remember the last time Crusaders created a colonial state in Jerusale m it wasnt until the Muslims united and got a good leader (who was Kurd) in Saludin we took back our lands.

Israel is a colonial experiment and will cease to exist once its stopped being funded by west. (This is what happen with South Africa it was only after Americans withdrew their support in 1987 before white south Africa started negotiating seriously with ANC)

You stated be honest this my honest view

The trip, concluded on August 15, has taken the commander to Bahrain, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, where he has held meetings with high-ranking civilian officials and military commanders from each country.

ksa in particular and gcc in general keep conspiring with usa against iran.

if you shoot own feet there is no pact neither miracle that can save you
Next attack incoming

They should just shoot these truck on sight. The explosion and casualties would definitely make smugglers think twice...

The current "ceasefire" ( for whatever that means ! ) is due to expire on Monday, and there has been no renewal made to replace it.

Given the increase in US forces in the region, and talks going no where, we may see the start of new hostilities soon?

From the talk... there are two imminent possibilities.
A two weeks high intensity attack that targets Iranian civilian infrastructure.
Or,
A push to occupy parts, Island, beach head etc... and use that as bargaining chip.
The second scenario is less likely as you'd see the mobilization for that as it requires higher logistical footprint and there aren't too many safe landing and basing options in the vicinity.

The first one generates the optics both for him and Mileikowsky, claim a victory and leave. The reason it is not being implemented is because of unknown, unknowns! Something that reinforces the defeat even further. Economic hardship for the remainder of his term. The debt ceiling is going to hit again on or around midterms and that will make everyone go for the hard bargains...
There is a nightmare scenario brewing because orange has no patrons big enough to cover the mess he's creating right now... it was only him who could have been salvaged holding his hair to pull him out of the muck he created.

This war is directly affecting US AI. Gulfies were the biggest money contributer to AI and now this happens...US debt crisis is going to be fatal in the next few years. Everything trumpet does is harming the average american

Several major foreign nations, led by Japan and China, have reduced their holdings of U.S. Treasury bonds. [1, 2]
Other active sellers include Taiwan, Saudi Arabia, India, and the United Arab Emirates. [1]

Why Countries Are Selling U.S. Bonds
    • Currency Defense: Spikes in global energy costs and regional conflicts have pressured local currencies, forcing central banks to liquidate dollar reserves to stabilize their exchange rates. [1, 2]
    • Reserve Diversification: Countries like China have steadily shifted away from U.S. debt to diversify their holdings into alternative assets like gold. [1]
    • Geopolitical Tensions: Trade disputes and policy frictions between the U.S. and global allies have prompted some foreign investors to rebalance or reduce exposure to dollar-denominated assets. [1, 2]

    Impact on the Market
      • Higher Yields: Selling pressure pushes bond prices down, which drives up U.S. Treasury yields.
      • Increased Borrowing Costs: Higher yields make it more expensive for the U.S. government to service its national debt, which can ripple into higher consumer loan and mortgage rates. [1, 2, 3]
