China single handily destroyed Iranian leverage and thwarted the Iranian oil playbook tactic by stabilizing the oil markets and prolonging this conflict by giving Trump more time and remove immediate pressure on him prior to mid terms.

If anyone thinks this was just a coincidence they are naive. Xi is coming to visit Trump in USA next month. What deal is Trump prepared to give Xi the Western Appeaser to continue to cut back on oil imports?

- China ramped down its oil purchases, to stabilise the markets which is in its interests.
- China provided discrete military assistance to Iran i.e. Beidou access for precision strikes(plus anything else of interest on those trains direct from China to Iran - enough for the Americans to bomb that line!), which is in its interests...
- China has allowed the Americans to defeat themselves for all the world to see, and for them to see how the USA treats its "allies" in war(not well it seems, ask the Gulfies), which is in its interests...
- And now China has started to buy oil on the open market, creating upward pressure on oil prices to force pressure on trump to finish this war, which is in its interests....

Maybe China did what it did, because it could see a bigger strategic picture that Iran could not see, that would have made things better for Iran in the long run ? We won't fully know, because no one on this forum are into geo-strategic game theory and we can't see everything that was/is in play.

The USA has been geo-strategically defeated in the middle east. At first all the Iranians officials were all frothing at the mouth against the Makkah agreement, and now they seem to have changed their tune, have they not? Why is that? Maybe the penny dropped in Tehran? Maybe someone explained things to Iran, that Iran in its own little bubble cannot see of visualise ??

Yes, China has been working on its own geo-strategic interests - all countries do, some of when overlap and compliment Iran's goals and objectives and some of those are solely for China's interests.

That is geo-politics unfortunately.

Turkey was assigned a role and empowered to play a part in the destruction and overthrow of Syria for the benefit of the Empire. It took a massive amount of financing from the empire's ATM machine, the PGCC clown states as well as political and military resources directly from the US to complete the project. Now Turkey is attempting to usurp the spoils and receiving reminders of its place within the US led ecosystem.

All this bravado about Turkey fighting Israel will amount to zero. Turkey is literally sending fuel for the planes that carry out these attacks.

Turkey is gonna find out why militarily rebuilding Syria was such a challenge for Iran.

Israel is trying to escalate Turkey into a war. It’s a win win for Israel, if it strikes Syria and Syria/Turkey don’t respond then it achieves its objective of keeping Syria a Taliban like state with no military resources. If Turkey does respond then Israel can expand its war and began moving on Turkish assets in Cyprus.

Turkey’s currency is doing just as well as Iran’s……worthless. So it cannot afford a war since unlike iran it doesn’t have vast energy resources to bolster its economy.

It doesn't say how much china has tapped into oil reserves but with pipelines in central Asia and Russia, experts say not much.

Reason is china needs to have large amounts of oil and gas incase of a major war breaking out.

So I can foresee that over the next few weeks china will start to buy a lot of oil and push the prices up

Israel wouldn't hesitate to hit Turkey if there were a real need for it. Saudi Arabia and Pakistan would do exactly nothing but issue condemnations.

Very few countries in the world possess that level of independent foreign policy. Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan are not among them.
