AIR BLUE has announced the establishment of an Air Crew Training Center that will house the Full Flight Simulators for Airbus along with Cabin Emergency & Door Trainers and Flight Training Devices to provide a full type rating qualification for pilot and aircrew. The center is currently under construction adjacent to Islamabad International Airport and is expected to come online sometime by end of 2027. This will be the second training center of its kind after the PIA Training Center near the old airport in Karachi.

PIA should have just been merged with Air Blue rather selling it covertly to Shaheen Foundation front men. PIA has been turned into another Shaheen Air.

Airblue uses A320 family aircraft so easy simulator to have, asmost small domestic airlines all using A320.

Hope they get some bigger aircraft and start European flights too

Air blue did lease some A340's in the early 2010's and were flying to the Mideast and UK on them. I had a relative who was a pilot in them. But I don't think it worked out so Airblue ended those flights and returned the planes. My relative now flys for Qatar Airways.

Air Blue is soon starting the Pak-UK flights for which they need a bigger Airbus. They have considered the A330 but the plans of acquiring it are currently on hold. They will be flying the NEO A321 on the London route with stop-over for fuel in Istanbul
