During the Syrian civil war we had similar events conducted against Turkiye by the USA and Russia. In the case of the Russians they directly bombed Turkish troops and the way they did it was in typical kunty russian fashion.
In Syria, Turkiye had a mechanism with Russia where we would tell them our troop deployments so they wouldnt make any mistakes in hitting Turkish troops during their years of indiscriminate killing from the air. Anyway Turkiye supplies them with co-ordinates to our troop deployment, they took those co-ordinates and then bombed Turkish troops.
They killed over 30 Turkish troops and many more were injured. To put that in context that one incident led to more total dead then the recent Pakistani/India skirmish. Anyway Turkiye wanted to send in helicopters to retreve the injured and dead. The Russians didnt allow it, so ambulances went in taking much longer and many died because of slow treatment. Anyway once they got there the Russians then bombed the ambulances, basically identical behaviour to the isrealis.
That incident led to Turkiye deploying the drones as the primary strike force. The first such time such thing took place in history. What warfare was before that operation and what it has become after it changed forever.
That Russian instigation basically pulled the Turkish army deeper into Syria, it saved the last rebel holdout and in the end Russia was dumped out the country with their two bit dictator assad.
Turks must play this game according to their plan. Not the plan of the enemy. Now the day we have an airforce compromised our own fighter jets, then yeah by all means we can be aggressive and violent in our operations.
But while our airforce is comprised of older american made f16's and the enemy gets to fly the the best available american F35's, the trick is not to play their game.
BTW in 2020 when that drone operation was conducted, these were the primary drones used.
today we are moving onto drones like this:
No need for Turkiye to make any rash moves, we are in no rush and in fact the longer we get to develop the better it is for us. Ideally Turkiye needs another 10 years of development in her military sphere. These progressions are taking places across the entire military not just drone tech.
Its the isrealis who are in a race against time and would love nothing more for the Turks to do something stupid like the Palestinians did not so long ago.
