If Democrats seize the House and the Senate, they could pass a bill in the House of Representatives to end funding the war, and if they could gain a limited number of Senate Republicans to join them, they could gain the 60 votes needed to override the presidential veto.

This war is unpopular, and many Senate Republicans have their terms ending beyond 2028. That means they could use the opposition of the American people to grow a backbone and withstand Trump's bullying.

Trump himself knows it, and hence the reason he desperately needs the Strait of Hormuz to be fully open before the midterms election.

Hopefully if the Democrats, at the very least gain control of the House of Representatives, Will have plenty of oversight committees

If you know, you know. IR is fucking retarded. Even if IR somehow manages to defeat the superpower they will likely clamp down on civil and social liberties. Iranians lose either way.

I am not looking to get into a philosophical debate with you, a well meaning foreigner, but a foreigner nonetheless over the merits of theocratic rule in Iran. Iranians are long passed these arguments.

Mate, Iranians have far pressing matters than degeneracy and whoredom. If you ever visit Iran you'd find those issues on their own to be very miniscule as most Iranians look down upon those traits.
 

Iran is updating its military doctrine to prepare for future escalation​

Hamidreza Azizi, a researcher on Iran at the Clingendael Institute, says Iran’s military doctrine is changing, with a growing focus on deterring threats to the country earlier.

Azizi, who also writes the Substack Iran Analytica, says the “failure” of Iran’s previous deterrence model to prevent repeated US and Israeli attacks has prompted the country to rethink how it deters future attacks, with a focus on earlier deterrence emerging.

“Tehran appears to be trying to establish deterrence at an earlier stage, by signaling that even preparations for an attack could trigger an Iranian response,” Azizi wrote in a post on X.

Two elements in the new “offensive doctrine” are emerging, Azizi said: preemption, which is aimed at preventing a perceived threat from materialising; and disproportionate retaliation, which is aimed at raising the cost of any attack that does occur.

Iran’s warning against Gulf states joining the US’s economic war against the country is “essentially an ultimatum” to the Gulf states, he said, adding that Iran’s military-security establishment “is increasingly preparing for another round of escalation”.


So I think sometimes people think well Iran hasn’t been proactive I don’t think that’s the reason I think they’re preparing for something big and letting countries and people start letting their guard down speeding up their weapons production for the next round which I think will be far messier than previous rounds getting all their ducks in row before they pop off Israel’s election around the corner midterms right around the corner something is coming and I’m fairly certain people on both sides of this fence regarding Iran are going to be like oh 💩 that’s why Hezbollah Iran and yes Houthis have even been relatively tame something is coming

They look down upon those traits because they were educated in IR.

They lack tech skills to avoid the attack, but they know the exact source and attribution, how convenient.

I dont believe a thing, likely it was staged a false electronic open door with adhoc software to allow the attack in a controlled way.
