Here's the thing, Chinese foreign policy isn't influenced by third party assessments. China views its relation with BD as warm and friendly. And there is billions to be made here with 20/24 J10CE. Let's wait and see.

Jf17 is a good 4 generation fighter designed for customers to upgrade it . Affordable for small air forces that don’t have the same requirements as the big dogs. It’s also a good option for air forces that need to field a larger number of jets to cover more territory. if it’s good enough to shoot french down mirage that is overpriced and blow up a S400 .

Objectively speaking, if the Bangladesh Air Force wants to purchase J-10CE fighter jets, China has no political problems.

There's only one problem: Bangladesh doesn't have enough cash!

Given the level of mutual trust between China and Bangladesh, China is unlikely to provide Bangladesh with financial services similar to Pakistan's ultra-long-term installment payments. Unless Bangladesh can provide other guarantees commensurate with its value.

You've seriously overlooked one issue: the total cost.

Even if Bangladesh fully complies with the PAF's procurement plan, and China offers the exact same price, these J-10CE fighter jets won't be able to fulfill their intended role in the Bangladesh Air Force. The core reason is that Bangladesh lacks its support system. And the expenses of this support system are even more expensive than the fighter jet procurement package itself…

He has a point, to get max value out of this, it needs to be part of a system of systems (AEW, High Alt SAM., high end EW), BD does not have that, but that does not means J-10Cs will be useless, just that they may well not be used to their full potential

The fundamental difference between the 4.5th-Gen and 4th-Gen fighter jets lies in their coordination and support networks.

From its design philosophy, the 4.5th-Gen fighter jet emphasizes air situational awareness and network-based collaborative operations. The fighter jet itself is merely a node in this network; a complete OODA loop relies on the entire network, not a single fighter jet. If the network's support is insufficient, it will be forced to operate at a degraded level. ------ The Indian Air Force's Rafale fighter jets are a typical example of this situation. They lack a corresponding comprehensive support network. Therefore, Rafale pilots can only rely on simple radio communications to communicate with each other, rather than the standard 4.5th-Gen tactical network.

The Bangladesh Air Force is indeed strengthening its C2 infrastructure. I'm not denying that. My point isn't that the Bangladesh Air Force lacks a C2 network, but rather another very serious issue: network compatibility.

Pakistan has long engaged in extensive military-technical cooperation with China. Its military networks are fully compatible with China's export weapon platforms. This is their greatest advantage. Bangladesh, however, does not possess this advantage.

Btw. In 2025, Bangladesh will deploy the GM403M air defense radar to enhance its aerial surveillance and air defense capabilities. However, the supplier of this radar is on the Chinese government's sanctions list. Therefore, this radar is unlikely to be compatible with any advanced Chinese military weapon platforms.
