Hamas wasn't even a big deal before 2006. They were never defeated like now. Gaza is a pile of rubble now.

The Taliban raised to power in 90s with the help of the US and they were brought back to power in 2021 with the US decision.

I believe it depends on your definition of winning and defeat.

If the Palestinians have failed to liberate Palestinian territories after nearly 8 decades and have lost Gaza as well, then it seems to me that you can defeat people with weapons. Weapons are the reason that the West Bank didn't join Gaza and new Intifada has not happened again. And this is not a new phenomenon, as it has happened countless times in history, including recent history.

It would be pretty funny if China turns around and says not only they will ignore the sanctions, they will officially start buying Iranian oil. Just to test the americans.

China is not some anti imperialist power. China has reduced its oil imports to save the world reserve drainage.

Xi is a western appeaser much like Khamenai was a western appeaser. They are anti imperialist only in speech and talk, in action they walk a very non confrontational line.

People need to realize China has no desire to confront the U.S.
