Highly unlikely Iran has the technological know how to get to a working fusion reactor, Chinese are pretty close and Americans as well. Iran has neither the capital nor the resources for such an endeavor.

This is just as embarrassing as 10+ years ago when they announced they were going to be installing naval nuclear reactors soon in warships and submarines.

Iran has made nearly zero progress after 2013 when Ahmadinejad left the office. This includes both nuclear and space industries in Iran.
