Highly unlikely Iran has the technological know how to get to a working fusion reactor, Chinese are pretty close and Americans as well. Iran has neither the capital nor the resources for such an endeavor.

This is just as embarrassing as 10+ years ago when they announced they were going to be installing naval nuclear reactors soon in warships and submarines.
