There is no fixed rule for how many jets to be in a squadron. It could be anything from 10 to 12 to 16 to 18 to 24.
All 20 jets will be combat capable.
They make two squadron of 10 aircrafts each.
1 to replace an older squadron.
Another one will be brand new squadron.
Typically BAF squadrons consist of 16 jets. F-7s and Yak-130. JL-8 these were all 16 aircraft squadron. Though some of them has crashed reducing the number.
Which is why 32 units would've made more sense. In fact I am in favour of getting 100 or so.
