Mohsin Naqvi signal administrative units or new provinces will be formed at all cost.

This stinky system is not and should not be considered salvageable.

No system is perfect. Its the efficiency that decides their survival. For what its worth, the Pakistani system offers brutal efficiency with extreme prejudice. That goes from top to bottom of the many parallel systems that thrive in Pakistani societies.

There's still a fighting chance for upward social mobility and people prefer a scenario where a poor government is acceptable for richer citizenry. If there's anything 'national' or Pakistani culture by mathematical reduction, it's the mistrust and rebellious nature to the 'man'.

It has been proposed before that national projects are needed for self sustainability. Those projects are now what can only be described as warzone, be it water management projects or maritime aspirations or deep earth mining. It's a well practiced successful routine from Sumerians to Egyptians and plethora of local indigenous empires and kingdom.

When did this happened ? PTI was always in favor of new provinces. IK even proposed on turning each division to separate province during his tenure, but that wasnt a priority for eatablishment of that time. Even till 1 week ago I saw every PTI spokesperson in favor of new provinces.

What changed ?
Kpk cm and slman Akram raja came to sindh in prep for their anticipated long march to Islamabad (which going to deflate anyway) They sought to solicit support of Sindhi speaking people by opposing more admin/Provinces/Units in Sindh.
I will do whatever to oppose PTI in Karachi.
Traitors.

When it actually comes to the crunch time do they follow through?

Who is ready for new provinces and who is not. Through Naqvi the fauj have put them all on the spot.

Any party that resists this should immediately be regime changed.

Can you please share links.

All I ask is “How, who and what” for every one of these objections or ideas
The How who and what comes before you take the action, not after.

That is all I am saying. The how and who and what should be take into consideration before bulldozing something as significant as this.

Or are we to say that since we can't figure out the how who and what, let's just do a half-assed exercise and get more provinces.

This argument is valid, if provinces collect and retain all taxes, their contributions will be insufficient to run the federal government, leaving it without the financial resources to pay its national or international debts.
They may go for referendum

It is a brilliant move by Pakistani Army to remove the threat from ethnic separatist movements in the future. Also they can neuter the civilian politicians even more. this is assuming they are not already neutered enough.

What can go wrong ? I am not a Pakistani. I cannot think of any.

The balance of power. Elite vs military Establishment. Who is sincere, question remain unanswered. Elite of province not ready to give up lion share to central govt.

This haram ka system is perfect for babuz, generals, politicians, judges, religion kay thekaydar and media. But luckily every haram ka system comes with an expiry date, you can hope it survives, however aad, samood, luut and many others tell a different story.

We have to go back to 1947 and decide, what was the purpose of getting a separate country and then build from scratch.

Thank you for finally admitting it........ no plan, data, referendum or debate could ever satisfy you because you have already declared the entire system illegitimate . So all those questions about “where is the homework?” were just drama. Your conclusion came first, the argument was manufactured afterwards.
Dude, you desparately need some critical thinking classes.

I have lived in this country my entire life. I experience its government, economy and institutions firsthand. You are sitting in the US consuming propaganda accounts and then lecturing people living here about who controls every breath we take. Social Media outrage is not ground reality , my friend.
Ah yes, when the arguments run out, the last refuge.

I have probably lived in Pakistan for longer than you have been on this Earth, so spare me the lectures.

Yehi aap ki total behes ki limit hai, resort to personal points. There was a reason I ignored you for so long on this forum.

Separating provinces is not the solution and its not "Filhaal alag karein baad mai dekhege". First Change the way system is working. If system is same than the actual agenda of Separate provinces is to create pockets to divide and rule them.

Right now in my office and probably in many offices its a chat topic about will they create provinces or not. The discussion leads to who contributed most in creating Pakistan and who is more victim.

It needs to be understand that awam of Sindh is also suffering as I myself migrated from Hyderabad to Karachi due to facilities that Karachi has from health to education is just not comparable.

I believe:
  • Urdu-speaking people's desire for political/administrative recognition is legitimate.
  • Sindhi people's suffering and historical connection to Sindh are also legitimate.
  • One does not have to invalidate the other.
  • The moment a provincial demand becomes based on humiliating races, portraying them as the problem, the discussion stops being about better governance and starts becoming ethnic politics.
  • Likewise, dismissing Karachi's genuine grievances simply by saying “Karachi is Sindh, end of discussion” doesn't solve anything either.
