Does it matter? , HAL cant even deliver one aircraft.
Even after gaining concession from IAF , they are not able to sort out problems .

When integration issues get sorted, the built airframes can all get delivered at once. They've made more than 2 squadrons of airframes already.

When politicians or heads of state-owned enterprises repeatedly make grandiose claims, are there strict legal or institutional mechanisms to hold them accountable?

Indian politicians and heads of state-owned enterprises have a long track record of making grandiose claims. It seems they are not held accountable.

Timelines from HAL are not worth the paper they are written on.

Govt. needs to sack the CMD & replace him with a 3 star Air Force personal to hit the ground running.

Mk 2 ground run as well as 10 Mk1A delivery's should have happened already.

They can't hide behind engine deliveries now.

Wait! They are reporting - in fact CONFIRMING - the prototype is ready NOW even if they claimed before it should have been flown already? Dont clowns here even claimed why making a big fuss about a public maiden flight, that damn thing surely is already in flight testing and now it is reveals ALLL was a lie, they aim for a first run - aka engine start and not even taxi test - in March 2027???

Then it won‘t happen until late 2027 to get that thing in the air!

It's the reason- I prefer private sectors, compared to under government organizations
