No matter how much China reinvest on reinfrastructure Nepal connectivity with India is always natural, smooth and cost effective.... Nepal suddenly approving infrastructure projects with China was nothing but to pressure India....
Trade with India can be done without wasting billions on infrastructure as Nepal on India side sits on plain open landscape of UP and Bihar compared to huge Himalayan ranges on the side of China.... whenever be it a trade or natural disaster happen India is the most natural option....

You can't compare Canada America trade relations with Nepal India relations.... dynamics are totally different.... what Canada can offer and what Nepal can offer there is a difference.... Unlike Canada Nepal is underdeveloped landlocked country and India has always given all privileges to Nepal whenever it's required....
My history teacher told me only once in 1989 India and Nepal had tensed situation and out of 15 border gates India closed 13 gates but still kept 2 open.... and after the ease they were all functional again.... research what kind of monetary, technical, medical help India keeps giving Nepal irrespective of Nepal again and again blackmailing India using china card....
Nepal and India has roti beti (bread and daughter) types relations since ages.... citizens of Nepal can even walk In India do jobs or do business and go back or can stay..... it simply cannot be compared to America and Canada... .. can you compare china Mongolia trade and ties with china America?

Hey, many Canadians see Americans as cousins, that's how close the relation between the two countries are or at least were. Then, why Nepal and nearly all countries in South Asia want to move away from India and move closer and trade more with China ? That's something Indians have to ponder.

Sometimes, they even deliberately lead people to have a wrong understanding of the situation, to a degree that you Indians may find hard to imagine.
At this moment, Japan is the country most afraid of China's resurgence. No other country comes close.
Because of the issues left over from World War II, Japan's anxiety about China is far greater than that of the United States or India.

Yes and that's why they are advanced nation and it's big maritime country where it doesn't have to depend on neighbors....
Nepal irrespective of having smooth and best connectivity with India keeps blackmailing India playing China card and still India is always there to offer help in tough times....
Canada is rich, big maritime country and very advanced country.... Canada will survive without USA.... Nepal cannot completely boycott India and stay depend on China...

Obviously no because every country will have some supreme position secured.... I never said that madheshis after taking citizenship can become anything they want.... even Nepali who gets citizenship in India can't become prime Minister of India... there's a limit.... point is USA Canada example is wrong in case of India Nepal example....

Yet India tried to interfere in Nepal’s constitutional amendments at the time, pushing for Madhesi people who obtained citizenship by birth or naturalization to have the right to become President of Nepal.

Canada was and still is an anglosphere country. Their disagreements are something of a lovers quarrel the change in US admin back to a saner president would reset ties the next day. Similarly Nepal is an Indosphere country. Just like a Chinese wearing suit doesn't make him English your influence is looked as a misfit everywhere. That's the same for China in Nepal a misfit.

China has multitudes of good affordable products supplying to the world and BRI project to help the poor countries develop and others to connect and your India has what ? Cow dungs ? You people always have an egotistical mindset when talking about Chinese and China. So speaking English in your country makes you people accepted as English or Westerners eh then, lol. Why those countries you name them in South Asia want to move closer to China, away from your incredible India and distrust of it. There are tension and animosity between Nepal and India. Everyone shuns your country in the world esp in South Asia now, that's a fact. Of course, China doesn't need approval from the West like G7 as your country needs,.

Yeah that's what my shopkeeper says. He got multitudes of products he sells to me, he brags he is very influential. Lol! Even my other neighbours want to buy from his shop, or take small loans from him for buying from him, he is so influencial indeed. But that doesn't mean he is part of our neighborhood. China is thousands of miles away with Tibet sitting in between and it shows.
