Makkah Defence Alliance: Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan, news & updates

Basically many groups in yemen were under the control of the UAE, when the saudis signed the pact, these groups were told to stand down allowing the iranian backed houthis to make gains. This panicked Saudi and then naturally pulled them back towards the Isreali/UAE axis.

So basically the houthis have been used by isreal to bully the saudis back into their camp. With the saudis moving more towards isreal, it means they will become more entrenched against Iran.

Without a viable alternative security umbrella like the Mecca pact, its impossible to pull the saudis away from isreali/zionist ambitions in the region.

When we look at the outcome of everything iran related in the region, it always seems to benefit isreal.
Almost seems like you're trying to make excuses for Saudis here.

A week ago all was against UAE. But now it's alright to have Saudis work with them because the Zionist gave them no choice.

Mecca Pact or without it will never fix this mess. Especially when you got UAE and Saudis together happy to work with Israel.

The one thing I am unsure is if this Mecca pact 10-years too late or 10-years too early to make any difference in the region.

I think its merely the US-Israel-GCC alliance coming out into the open. They have been one team operating since the late 1970's. With the Makkah pact, Pakistan and Turkey have also openly declared membership of this team.

Not really....

Instead it is the B team that Saudis or GCC can flaunt... saying have an alternative while they keep propping up the collective. While US can sanction both Turkiye and Pakistan... and Pakistan is not in any official alliance with US anymore. And US still sanctioned F 35s to Turkiye... that debacle arose from the fact the US was not willing to share the interceptor technology, China and Russia were, and when Turkiye went with S-400 ... US punished by removing Turkiye from F-35 program, that, while being second most powerful military in NATO.

Saudis keep getting back in a position to stab Muslims in the back because of Islam and custodian card. What they're doing now is playing the alternative they signed with what the collective has to offer... which is going to cost an arm and a leg with a foot on their neck, chocking them!
Pakistan has since moved on largely from US tech altogether and Turkiye has built it's own complex. In many ways a generation ahead of what the collective has to offer.

I won't lie not really keeping up with this.

But are we good with UAE now?

They no longer the devils that support Israel?

Or we just pretend it's ok because its Saudis? :ROFLMAO:

There is no other way to put it...
UAE stabbed Pakistan at the peak of aggression on Iran... to arm twist Pakistan into submission...
Problem, Saudis bailed them out... so guess what...
Back to square one!

Yeah, they have to manage the optics for states that have not yet formally recognized Israel and there are internal rivalries between the Arab states, but, as far as the bigger picture is considered, they are all under the American umbrella.

This goes to all the Assad lovers, included Persians who have worked together with zionistis in Syria. You can not trust them....

ussia's Former President Medvedev:"In my meetings with Israeli leaders, I remember my Israeli counterparts telling me carefully, 'We don't particularly like Bashar al-Assad, but it's better to have someone in control of the country than an uncontrolled process that would lead to the country's fragmentation and the emergence of enclaves led by terrorists.' As far as I recall, this was also the stance of the Israeli government, and I believe it was the right attitude.

"Qatar's Former Prime Minister Hamad bin Jassim:"Because whenever you talk to Israelis, they say, 'We need Bashar, because there was stability on the border during Bashar's and his father's time; it was a very quiet border with Israel.' And they don't know who will come to leadership in Syria. Therefore, this is one of the main elements showing that the choice made was not because of the Syrian people, but because of Israel."

I dont disagree on the costing an arm and a leg since the Saudis are masochist about being fleeced by western suppliers - but what is backstabbing muslims here?

What potential historical record do you have of muslim collectiveness on identity or issues - heck - even go back 1000 years.. that you can call it "backstabbing muslims"?

In addition to many hundreds of Houthi goons, 126 IRGC terrorists have been killed in Yemen so far.
Yes, Saudis keep getting back in a position to stab 'Muslims' in the back...

Skepticism is only fair if this was indeed the first time Saudis used Makkah as a venue.

To counter the Cairo Caliphate conference, Saudis convened Makkah conference to balance the same question, Muslim unity, instead it only helped legitimize Saudi authority over the holy cities and cemented their own rule and dispelled any notion of return to Khilafah or to help choose common leadership.

But it goes beyond that... Saudis used their brand to paint wholesale apostasy on everyone but them... which included the Ottomans and back then their excuse to side with British Empire was that, they, the Brits are in fact Ahl-Kitab... people of the book.

Backstabbing in the context laid out above isn't the intent of the ruler but de facto... as both Turkiye and Pakistan said aye! As a balance to countervailing forces ...chaos and insurgencies that may arise as a result of the power vacuum of parting US... where everyone with weight or sway will be vying for space.

In that space Saudis going around to double down on prevailing paradigm or it's upcoming space holder in zion can only be inferred...

Muslims, pre first world war were not vying for nation states or structural barriers based on ethnic lines... Turks ruled, so did Kurds, Persians and Arabs... languages, ethnicities and interpretations survived to the modern age and then everything went haywire.
The last century has produced more death and destruction than previous crusades or Mongol hordes in shear numbers... only proportionally lower because of higher populations... that includes both primary and secondary causes.

This pact could have taken place in Riyadh and be called by that name too... the fact that it was Makkah and that it has been invoked to defend members puts it beyond the secular plane... where identities have been painfully curated outside the fold to pander to other mere mortal causes.
Judgement however is not out yet...
And we'll see how the new initiative by zion to get a coalition going against Houthis goes...

Gamaji... on something?
You want to trigger me by calling Iranians terrorists... you don't need my consent, do you?

Saudis started it...
This conflict is older than both me and you... going back to the British colonial days. Saudis occupy the same lands Brits did... fighting the same war they initiated to occupy as much of peninsula as possible... where they now occupy and rule Yemeni lands.

Anyhow, you'd not be interested in that...

I only see the first paragraph somewhat relevant - and vying for ethnic lines does not mean empires did not exist on ethnic lines which are hollow semantics and whataboutism I see no value here.

So on the first paragraph -

If you look at the timeline - the Cairo conference did not lead to any outcome simply because no majority actually wanted a caliphate then especially not the Egyptian king who created the conference with that purpose in mind.
You can come with all sorts of conspiracy theories but it could also be plain want for independence of control and leadership - and maybe not wanting King fuad as the caliphate. IT was nothing to do with the return of the Khilafah as much as a power play by one rule.

What Saud did was to try and legitimize his conquest of Hijaz and less about Caliphate but it was to rival Fuad's claim to control of Hijaz. That was it.

There is no evidence for the rest of accusations of having Brits as Ahl-al-Kitab or so on since the brits were also supporting hashmis who were also rivals for control of the area. You can allege the British were doing their usual divide and rule but the rest of "backstabbing" Turks is frustrated emotion - you can have at it - but it is still weighed against the idea that Turks were ruling Arabian lands and they had their own tense relations with the locals on that.

For that matter - someone can also apply that same rule on why Muslim soldiers were part of East India company against the Mughals.

As for the backstabbing on this alliance - there is no backstabbing as it is typical Arab impatience on delivery for signatures without reading the fine print. The Saudis are frustrated that western consultants in lieu with their own screwed them on the Line, Neom and so on with misleading figures.

In this case the figures weren't even misleading as such and the Turks and Pakistanis have laid out their timelines for the Saudis on what can be achieved with their own constraints - which has not been enough for the Saudi leadership so they
are going back to the Americans because in their mind "at least the Americans deliver".

That is it. Now whether MBS is in cahoots with Israel or not and so on is all conjecture and derived from an ignorance of statecraft vs family politics.

It is also odd for me in general why Pakistanis find statecraft so hard to grasp especially when they themselves are ok to try and have family members killed over 500sq ft of land but then also be offended when those same family members dont consider their sons for the daughter's hand in marriage.

How do they occupy Najd? Please explain with "older" history.

But do you really think Iran, Saudis, Houthis and god knows who else will start getting along by 2036? I don't see it...
Well the pact relative to todays world is needed, the pact in terms of each countries individual sovereign strength and marginal contributions would be more operationally strong in 10 years time.

Why are you so proud about banal history, EVERYONE knows about house of saud

By your logic what Muslim nation is left untainted by the British empire? Just name one, if not, the Muslim world is effectively beyond repair because there is no nation you accept.
