The only explanation I can think of is complacency and corruption in the Indian defense establishment. And that's not new: We may recall the Bofors guns scandals from decades ago. But, hey, I am not complaining here!

Frankly speaking, Indian aircraft did not enter Pakistani airspace, nor did Pakistani aircraft enter Indian airspace; both nations maintained the security of their respective airspaces.

We can only discuss the issue of air superiority if Indian aircraft freely and safely enter and exit Pakistani airspace, or if Pakistani aircraft freely and safely enter and exit Indian airspace.

For instance, if Pakistan Air Force fighter jets were to enter Afghan airspace to conduct combat operations and return safely, that would be considered an instance of gaining air superiority over the other party.

The sectors driving this expansion, electronics, automobiles, and related industries, are precisely those that underpin military manufacturing, and they are now being produced at mass scale.

There is no need to explain Mumbai attacks. The investigation and surveillance of the attacks has been international and well covered. People were taking cow dung baths actually to defeat covid. The visuals coming out of india during those times, were devastating.

Situation in Pakistan during covid, a piss poor country (as you like to portray), was far better and under control compared to india.

In the defence arena India falls behind, in fact, in many technologies Pakistan seems ahead. Additionally, as you mention, Pakistan has access to much Chinese help, the same way India does with Western help on the Tejas.

No amount of talk or stats seems to have delivered front line Indian made jets to it's air force. That is simply a fact.

There is at best some 200k security facing Pakistan, the rest are deployed in Jammu and Kashmir of which 60k are Central Police Force and 80k is JK Police rest is army bsf along border. Total strength of Indian Army is 1.2million I don't know where you get these fantasy numbers like 1.4 million along LOC. There is less than 100k Manning LOC.
