IMF: Japan to fall to 6th in 2027 global GDP rankings

You Indian morons are on the side of Japan and Germany in WW II history. Do I have to say anything more ? You people will be dealt accordingly too.
Did you forget the roughly 2.5 million Indians who served in the British Indian Army on the Allied side? Indian troops fought the Axis in North Africa, Italy and Burma. Some strange way of "siding with Japan and Germany".

And since you’re handing out history lessons, how many Chinese troops were sent abroad to fight the Axis, beyond defending China itself? Let’s hear the figures.

China fought the main forces of Japan in China, thats enough. China was the main battle ground of WW II in Asia for you ignorant Indians to know. China also sent hundreds of thousands of troops to Burma and India to fight the Japs and save the British troops for you ignorant to know. BTW, many of your so called Indian troops defected and sided with Japanese troops in SEA to fight the Allies because you people believed Japs war was good for your cause. Also, what Mao did or did not do in his era in China is none of you Indians business, go get rid of the shitholes in your country first before you speak of China from a moral position.

I’ve read the memoir by Mao’s physician, Li Zhisui. Quite an interesting account of the man. You should give it a read too, though I’m guessing getting hold of a copy in China might be tricky.

@ety do you require authorisation by a senior in your team before writing any comments on 'sensitive' topics 😂

IMF: Japan to fall to 6th in 2027 global GDP rankings

The International Monetary Fund says Japan's economy is likely to fall to sixth place in global rankings next year, behind India and the United Kingdom.

In its latest economic outlook, released this week, the IMF estimates Japan's nominal gross domestic product will amount to 4.467 trillion dollars in 2027.

The IMF projection ranks Japan fourth for 2026 after the United States, China and Germany. But India's nominal GDP is estimated to reach 4.521 trillion dollars next year, while the UK's is expected to be 4.488 trillion dollars. Both India and the UK are expected to post higher growth than Japan.

Meanwhile, the yen's continued weakness will reduce the value of Japan's GDP in US dollar terms.

Japan faces the challenge of boosting growth through higher investment and improved productivity as the country's population decline is expected to continue.
Japan has a population of 123 million people only.

Japan is no match for China anyways.

China has 1.4 billion people, nuclear weapons, and is the 2nd largest economy in the world.

Personally I support Chinese reunification. Perhaps we Pakistanis should help China in acquiring Taiwan again.

But of course China should reciprocate on the Kashmir issue for Pakistan.

Afterall Taiwanese and Chinese people are the same people who speak the same language of Mandarin.

Yes China should help Pakistan take all of Kashmir. Get the Indian rapists out.

We feel japs are awesome ppl, can't be responsible for your historic prejudices, currently enjoying an awesome vacation there

You like Japan. That's your business, but there are some things you may not know.

----------------

Japan has altered or downplayed the brutal history of the Japanese military during WW2 in its school textbooks. Even Taiwan has protested against this.

◉ Japan's invasion of China has been described by many Japanese right-wingers as a form of liberation. This narrative is not limited to China. Japanese right-wingers use the same idea to portray Japan's invasions of various Southeast Asian countries.

◉ Japan questions the death toll of the Nanjing Massacre (南京大屠殺) and downplays it in school textbooks by referring to it as the Nanjing Incident (南京事件).

◉ Japan denies forcibly recruiting comfort women in various countries and denies the historical record of Unit 731, the Japanese military unit that conducted human experiments.

Despite the overwhelming amount of evidence that has emerged, including evidence uncovered in Japan itself, the Japanese government still denies that Unit 731 carried out brutal human experiments and biological warfare. And these crimes did not take place only in China.

731部隊・元少年兵が語る真実「人体標本室を見た」
Former Child Soldier of Unit 731 Reveals the Truth: "I Saw the Human Specimen Room"

A 15-minute report based on independent reporting, featuring the testimony of a former member of Unit 731 who is still alive today and lives in Nagano Prefecture. The man was 14 years old at the time. Near the end of World War II, he traveled to Manchukuo and joined Unit 731 as a teenage recruit.

He is one of the few surviving former members who can testify about the truth behind the mysterious Unit 731. This report presents his valuable firsthand testimony about what he witnessed there. What did the boy see while serving in Unit 731?

The program also obtained footage of testimony from another former member who said he had performed autopsies on prisoners of war. The report delves into the truth behind Unit 731, a unit whose activities remain shrouded in mystery to this day.

戦争や紛争が起きる度に、子ども達が戦争に加担させられるケースがあります。先の大戦で日本の少年兵たちが細菌兵器の開発に関わっていた事実はあまり知られていません。

Whenever wars or conflicts break out, there are cases of children being forced to take part in them. It is not widely known that, during the last major war, Japanese teenage soldiers were involved in the development of biological weapons.

◉ Back then, Shinzo Abe denied that the Japanese military had forcibly recruited comfort women. The protests did not come only from Taiwan and South Korea. Even then-US President Barack Obama publicly condemned the wartime treatment of comfort women, and Hillary Clinton reportedly said that they should be referred to as "Japanese military sex slaves."

◉ Guess why, during his 8 years in office as prime minister, Abe personally visited Yasukuni Shrine only once, in 2013. Just once.

Since then, none of his successors as Japanese prime minister has personally visited Yasukuni Shrine, including current Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi.

◉ BTW, ever since Class A war criminals from WW2 were enshrined at Yasukuni Shrine, Japanese emperors have never visited the shrine again. Yes, not once since the enshrinement.

You like Japan. That's fine. But if you choose to side with Japan on the historical issues of WW2, you are making the wrong choice.

Sorry, we don’t share your hate for today’s Japanese, just as we don’t hate today’s Germans for Nazi crimes or today’s Chinese for Mao’s famine.

▲▲▲ Well, since you brought it up...

Sorry, we Chinese don’t share Indians’ hatred of today’s British, and we don’t blame today’s British for the deaths and great famines the British Empire caused in India.

According to Al Jazeera, an estimated 100 million Indians died as a result of British colonial policies during the 40 years from 1880 to 1920.....

Yet today, India makes extensive use of English and remains a member of the Commonwealth, still bowing down to Britain. That is what makes it so ironic.

Does India, after nearly 80 years of independence, still look back fondly on the good old days of being colonized by the British Empire?

To be fair, given India’s current situation, it is not hard to see why it still chooses to remain a member of the Commonwealth.....:sneaky:

During World War II, China was the main battlefield of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression.
Yet you ask how many Chinese troops were sent overseas to fight the Axis powers. That’s quite amusing.....

At the time, Japan was already a relatively advanced industrialized country, while China was still largely agricultural and had only just begun to industrialize.
This was a war in which the two sides were vastly unequal in terms of military equipment and combat capabilities.

Yet despite these disadvantages, the Chinese people fought a prolonged war of resistance against Japan. With the Allies joining the war and providing support in its later stages, China ultimately emerged victorious.

------------------------------

But why was it called the "British Indian Army"? Wasn't the Indian army under the control of Indians back then?

Oh, my bad.... I forgot......:sneaky:

After all, if we count from the Battle of Plassey, Indians spent about 190 years being treated as second-class citizens in their own homeland. Of course, they wouldn't have had their own army. What a tragic past.......

We might dislike Britain’s colonial past, but I don’t expect the rest of the world to hate Britain over it. I’m actually quite fond of the British way of life. I spent ten years there studying and working, and have very fond memories.

You guys are carrying a lot of unnecessary baggage 😂

Unnecessary baggage?

◉ India is still bitter about its defeat in the 1962 war with China.

◉ China has simply surpassed India in almost every area, to the point that Indians obsessively compare themselves with China.

Unnecessary baggage?
That’s something you should be saying to your fellow Indians....

-------------------

We Chinese are not asking the rest of the world to hate Japan either. You’re overthinking it.

But when the perpetrators have neither genuinely acknowledged their wrongdoing nor apologized for it, and are even trying to rewrite or downplay history, do you really think the victims would forgive them?

It seems you can’t understand something as simple as that......
