You like Japan. That's your business, but there are some things you may not know.
----------------
Japan has altered or downplayed the brutal history of the Japanese military during WW2 in its school textbooks. Even Taiwan has protested against this.
◉ Japan's invasion of China has been described by many Japanese right-wingers as a form of liberation. This narrative is not limited to China. Japanese right-wingers use the same idea to portray Japan's invasions of various Southeast Asian countries.
◉ Japan questions the death toll of the
Nanjing Massacre (南京大屠殺) and downplays it in school textbooks by referring to it as the
Nanjing Incident (南京事件).
◉ Japan denies forcibly recruiting comfort women in various countries and denies the historical record of
Unit 731, the Japanese military unit that conducted human experiments.
Despite the overwhelming amount of evidence that has emerged, including evidence uncovered in Japan itself, the Japanese government still denies that Unit 731 carried out brutal human experiments and biological warfare. And these crimes did not take place only in China.

Unit 731 produced by
Singaporean media this year, not Chinese media.

◉ Back then, Shinzo Abe denied that the Japanese military had forcibly recruited comfort women. The protests did not come only from
Taiwan and
South Korea. Even then-US President
Barack Obama publicly condemned the wartime treatment of comfort women, and
Hillary Clinton reportedly said that they should be referred to as "
Japanese military sex slaves."
◉ Guess why, during his 8 years in office as prime minister, Abe personally visited Yasukuni Shrine only once, in 2013. Just once.
Since then, none of his successors as Japanese prime minister has personally visited Yasukuni Shrine, including current Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi.
◉ BTW, ever since Class A war criminals from WW2 were enshrined at Yasukuni Shrine, Japanese emperors have never visited the shrine again. Yes, not once since the enshrinement.

You like Japan. That's fine.
But if you choose to side with Japan on the historical issues of WW2, you are making the wrong choice.
▲▲▲ Well, since you brought it up...
Sorry, we Chinese don’t share Indians’ hatred of today’s British, and we don’t blame today’s British for the deaths and great famines the British Empire caused in India.
According to Al Jazeera, an estimated
100 million Indians died as a result of British colonial policies during the 40 years from 1880 to 1920.....
Yet today, India makes extensive use of English and remains a member of the Commonwealth, still bowing down to Britain. That is what makes it so ironic.
Does India, after nearly 80 years of independence, still look back fondly on the good old days of being colonized by the British Empire?
To be fair, given India’s current situation, it is not hard to see why it still chooses to remain a member of the Commonwealth.....
During World War II, China was the main battlefield of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression.
Yet you ask how many Chinese troops were sent overseas to fight the Axis powers. That’s quite amusing.....
At the time, Japan was already a relatively advanced industrialized country, while China was still largely agricultural and had only just begun to industrialize.
This was a war in which the two sides were vastly unequal in terms of military equipment and combat capabilities.
Yet despite these disadvantages, the Chinese people fought a prolonged war of resistance against Japan. With the Allies joining the war and providing support in its later stages, China ultimately emerged victorious.

But why was it called the "British Indian Army"? Wasn't the Indian army under the control of Indians back then?
Oh, my bad.... I forgot......
After all, if we count from the Battle of Plassey, Indians spent about 190 years being treated as second-class citizens in their own homeland. Of course, they wouldn't have had their own army. What a tragic past.......
